Imagine losing both your son and daughter in a horrific way as a plane crash, and both very young. I feel so sad for them and their family. Rip to all of the lives lost.

I'm gonna sick an Okie on ya'! not once but twice. R.I.P. Steve and Cassie Gaines God bless your beautiful souls. Please watch over my beloved 19 year old son Michael Joel who I lost, I would talk music with him and I would tell him all about Steve and Cassie and how you can be from Oklahoma and make it, we are from Tulsa and I knew a lot of the cats from Tulsa like Charlie Wilson of the GAP band, Leon Russell, Jamie Oldaker, Dick Sims, Carl Radle, Jim Keltner, Elvin Bishop, Garth Brooks, David Teegarden, JJ Cale and many more including the Gaines. I am proud to be an Okie and so was my son!!!

Thanks so much for doing this video..It's what human-hood is all about..Not only were Cassie and Steve great mixtures into the world of southern rock...First and foremost they were two beautiful human beings loved by their family, friends, and fans...I think at times what have could of been for these two? I guess only one calls the shots on that...Peace from Albany New York -J

This is really great people just don't know how good Steve Gaines was just listen to Give me a T for Texas and I never Dreamed.He never got the credit her deserved he was one of the best of all times. Probably was better than Stevie Ray Vaughan,and Jimi Henrix.we'll never know

The interest in Steve's song writing and musicianship even prior to Skynyrd has surpassed any previous notoriety.

Hrlli was Theressa and Corrina Gaines present?!
@CaptRonRay4 жыл бұрын
Theressa was in poor health and has past . Corrina was't at this ceremony but she did attend and except the award on behalf of her father at Steve and Cassie's Induction into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. The Induction Ceremony was recorded also and is included with this video and the celebration of Steve's 70th Birthday and Cassie has been inducted as among the 22 pioneering women in Oklahoma Music History, that was recorded also and will be packaged in a multi DVD set that will be sold through the Dobson Museum and Ottawa County Historical Society in Miami, Oklahoma . A committee was formed after this ceremony for the preservation of any memorabilia relating to Steve & Cassie Gaines at the Dobson Museum in Miami, Oklahoma. It has become so big an entire wing of the museum has been allocated to Steve prior to joining Lynyrd Skynyrd with Cassie upto the plane crash.
