Man you can't just declare Redfall as the worst game of the year, we're only halfway through, and 2023 has been such a gold mine for shitty games.

That Corporate Commander skit killed me. When the guy on the phone skeptically asks, “Seventy dollars?!” Like even a fellow corporate hack knows that’s wild.

Imagine if you ordered a couch and then they delivered a wooden frame and said over the next few years they will send workman over to add parts to it until you can sit on it. That is gaming these days.

I remember years ago when people discovered Redfall in Bethesda's trademark listings and everyone theorized it was going to be The Elder Scrolls VI. Good times.

Its a weird time where AAA companies has less quality games and confidence than indie publishers.

At this rate, it felt like Bethesda has given up on their games.

If gaming companies want to jack up prices, then they should have even more content than games from my youth. Growing up in the 90s and 00s, we actually had FINISHED games you didnt pay to unlock stuff. Now games are nearly 3 times as expensive, unfinished, and filled with micro transactions

Blatantly lying about a game should be considered and punishable as fraud. They know they're not telling the truth on so many aspects and it's just accepted as an industry norm.

I actually bought it for full price for myself, my wife, and my best friend to play. Between the lag, crashes, and other issues, we STILL to this day have not been able to play together. We eventually stopped playing altogether. I will never buy a new game at full price again.

I will forever thank this abomination of a gaming for giving material to one of the top angry joe reviews of all time. This one is gonna be one of those constant repeat ones form me, guaranteed.

The fact that F.E.A.R. 1, a game from 2005, still has better in-game AI compared to 99.999% of any game after that is absolutely mind boggling to me.

You put more effort into this review than the developers put into Redfall.

at this point I’m more convinced that all bad games out there have hidden purpose, and that is “money laundering”.

I liked the stationary cutcenes when Arkane did it in Dishonored because it was atmospheric and fit the oil painting art style. But that doesn't mean they can just throw them into every game because it worked with one!

Watching Joe and OJ get younger was kind of a trip.

Remember when Redfall was the worst game of the year? And then it was Gollum? And then it was Kong? And then it was Walking Dead Destinies? And now it's The Day Before?... It feels like just yesterday, Arkane put out it's first dud. Oh, how the world turns.

Honestly I think this should have gotten a 1/10. Specifically BECAUSE of that $70 price point with the false advertising. If the industry is raising the starting price. We in turn need to raise our standards and be harsher on games and publishers. They need to earn that extra $10.

AJ's rush towards the camera while yelling "You peace of sh*t!!" then doing a cut off was the best unententonal fanf jump scare ever.

I started laughing at 8:20 at the window bit and then I realized that was probably the exact same thing Arkane and Bethesda were doing on the other side of the window and I got kinda sad.

Other joe is actually a pretty good actor 😂 love the sketches. That you for saving us from these bad games and getting some fun out of the garbage these companies serve to us

The even sadder part about all of this, is Arkane has not said one word since release. and after 5 weeks, not one patch released! Fucking unacceptable!!!

17:35 I personally loved the idea of the past-blast storytelling in something like Metro, but that's because they executed it so well. Seeing the ruins turned back to life, with the hustle and bustle of people, contrasted with the present day made it incredibly beautiful yet haunting.

I think I finally recognize "Our Most Ambitious Game to Date" is marketing speak for we promised too much and are missing development milestones, I hope the upper management gives us more time to develop this game or the next year is going to be hell. Some studios get lucky and pull off a miracle and make a great game, others fail miserably, what stays the same is at least someone almost worked themselves to death doing unpaid overtime.

This game really came and went and people will say Xbox has better exclusives 😂😂 only exclusives that mattered were halo and gears of war

Frankly one of the best reviews so far. From Joe freezing himself to mimic the "cutscenes", to the skits, to Alex' smug look when he C4's Joe, to Joe attacking the camera and using the OJ 'technical difficulties' sign was brilliant.

I don't want to sound racist but every time i see a female black character in any games trailer i know its going to be shit and overall a bad game when they do that you know the developers are forced by corporate to add that into the game and usually in turn makes the devs hate making it and put the least amount of effort possible to stop this forced shit from happening when you know that black female is probably the smallest demographic you can target it makes no sense to include these characters other then for woke reasons. Karens are ruining gaming with all this political messaging and immediately makes me uninterested in the game upon seeing it.

Worst part is, even when you are playing alone, because nobody wants to help you play this game BTW, if you need to pause and swap weapons in and out to fight certain enemies, the game is still playing in real time behind you. And if your are in serious battle, your delay to adjust will cause your death due to time management.

I didn't think it could get much worse than this this year. We had Tears of the Kingdom, we will have Mario Wonder, but we had this shit. And then, Gollum came and oh boy I was wrong. Next we'll get a game that will not only make you want to gouge out your eyes, but make you want to unalive your friends and then yourself.
