Here is a summary of the key points: - Broccoli, broccoli sprouts, cauliflower, arugula, kale, red cabbage, collard greens, and radishes are recommended vegetables that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. - Broccoli and broccoli sprouts contain sulfuranes which may have anti-cancer benefits. Cooking broccoli releases more nutrients. - Sprouting broccoli increases vitamins and minerals. Broccoli sprouts can boost glutathione levels. - Cauliflower is an easy alternative for those who have trouble digesting broccoli. - The FODMAP diet can help manage irritable bowel syndrome by restricting fermentable carbs. This involves a 3-phase elimination and reintroduction process. - Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) occurs when harmful bacteria grows excessively in the small intestine, inhibiting nutrient absorption and causing bloating and diarrhea. - Butyrate produced from fiber promotes gut and immune health. Fiber intake is important to feed beneficial bacteria. - High blood pressure is a major risk factor for dementia, heart disease, and strokes. Randomly checking blood pressure is recommended to monitor actual levels. - Arugula, kale, collard greens, and radishes provide antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and anti-cancer compounds that support inflammation and detoxification.

@renel7303 I buy all sprouting seeds from The Sprout People. Their seeds are specially for sprouting. They are on KZfaq and Facebook. A man, Doug Evans wrote a book The Sprout Book on Amazon. Doug literally is the guru for sprouts. He knows his stuff. I believe he is still on Instagram. He spent time on everyone's KZfaq channel but doesn't KZfaq himself. He is easy to find.

I just discovered this channel for the first time. I am 69 and have been eating whole food, nutrient dense, plant based diet since I was 15 - but I am going to watch this video over around 2-3 times to get all the great information. The FODMAPS diet is primarily stuff I never ever eat - such as HFCS, sugar, industrialized junk food and I quit eating dairy many years ago - however I absolutely LOVE BEANS and beets and some other foods I thought were "healthy" but since this video now I know I have to eliminate for 4-6 weeks or so to kill off the bad gut bacteria - I've had chronic diahrrea for several years and my Functional Medicine MD is doing lots of tests to figure out what the heck is going on. Despite eating zero junk food and no processed food for the last 50 years I still have some sort of gut dysbiosis. Very grateful to have discovered this channel and I'm going to watch this video 2-3 to write down all the great info - The first time I watched it I took notes but missed a lot. A plus and 5 starts - I never heard of this doctor before - does she practice Functional Medicine Integrative Medicine - she definitely does NOT seem to be a conventional allopathic medicine MD.

Yeah useless information. For example vitamin A doesn’t exist in plants, it’s retinol. We are not good at converting that into vitamin A. Vitamin K1 is in plants but we need K2 which is only in animal products. We don’t need vitamin C unless we eat carbohydrates. Sulforaphane is toxic that why we react to it. Our digestive system is not supposed to consume indigestible plant fibres as we are not herbivores (they ferment them in their gut), and it goes on. Just because someone calls themselves a doctor doesn’t mean they know what they’re talking about, especially in nutrition.

I had the symptoms of that condition. But I never heard of the condition. No doctor talked to me about changing my diet. It's very nice to see a doctor provide such extensive Info of Nutruitional Health . I suffer with IBS for decades (at least that's what I'm told by my GI doctors). Years ago the doctors would label that condition a "Nervous Stomach". That can make sense since I have always ben a Anxious person since childhood - I'm 72 Now. This and other info pertaining to the Gut is intriguing. My question is...Does Buyturate Capsules provide the same benefits? Would taking L-Glutamine capsules serve to benefit my IBS and/or IBD-C ?

Please please please Mrs. Doc, i just found you and subbed but we need help!!!! My bf is older and might have RA (rheumatoid arthritis) .. we are getting seen hopefully soon the waiting list is very long but the question is about NIGHTSHADES.. a crucial part of our diet currently!!!! All the info contradicts and i dont know whats true. I'm trying so hard to heal him from the inside but he's medditeranian and I'm obsessed with spaghetti so peppers and tomatoes are such a big deal to us. Do we, or do we not cut them out completely?? We would be devestated but it would be worth it as his pain is CRIPPLING. Is there any evidence at all that it worsens pain? Rheumatoid is so different than osteo. Everything we read online is so discouraging, "take a shower, move around, maintain a positive outlook and you might have a few more years" AIN'T IT!!! 😂 i hope you see this we are desperate for answers 💔 God bless you Mrs. Doc.

I have heard that cruciferous vegetables should be avoided by people with hypothyroidism. Is that true? If so which other vegetables can be used for anti inflammatory purposes.
