Double the fun in this video! I'm taking two mid century elm pieces, a credenza and a dresser, and giving them each a separate and unique new look using Odie's Oil and Mr Cornwall's Creative Colours (pure pigments). Elm can be difficult to stain so you'll see how I deal with that while bringing these two beauties back to life with a modern twist.

I think auctioning is an excellent idea. Angie showed us a piece axfew videos ago that she said was just sitting in her shop and not selling. But it was _beautiful_ ! She said she priced it at $125. I was gobsmacked. Auctioning might be a good idea - with a reserve, of course.

WOW!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Very Impressed Angie! Two beautiful transformations….just top notch….my father refinished furniture….I mean the no paint kind…stripping….sanding, staining etc….He would get discouraged from time to time because of course you never get paid adequately for the time and patience you put into a piece! I would just say Dad you will never get paid for the love you poured into it….but you have the satisfaction knowing you did a great job and your pieces turn out beautiful🌟🙌🏻 I’m 60 and boy I wish I had him here to teach me…he passed 24 years ago….I worked as a Nurse for 33 years and I have always had a love of old furniture….I still have a lot of pieces he did for my hubby and I when we were first starting out 40 years ago….I cherish them knowing the hard work he put into them❤️ When I hear the passion in your voice when restoring the pieces you do….it reminds me of him. So I’m retired now and I tinker and am enjoying trying my hand at it….thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us every week…I always learn so much😊kim

Its pretty unbelievable how the beauty of the grain in this wood looks in the end! The biggest injustice would have been to hide it with paint or even just leave it that light teal color. Congratulations you got it right again!

"Elm...it's oak's crazy cousin." This is something Bob Ross would say 😅😅 Love it! ❤

That wood is AMAZING!!!!! You couldn't have had a better color choice to stain it. Now I'll be looking for elm furniture! Another exquisite flip!

Michelangelo was asked how he created such extraordinary sculptures. He replied "The figures are in the marble ... I just liberate them." Angie, I feel as if you HEAR/SEE the potential, the Soul of the piece of furniture you are working on ... and then you (through hours and hours of hard graft) liberate that Best Self the piece can be. It is pure pleasure to watch you work as, it is done with such love, care and profound understanding. Brava!

Love the elm pieces. I adore the stain on the second piece. The way the piece absorbed the stain was stunning and dramatic. Thanks woodwoman.

Your. Videos are the best stress reduction method I have stumbled upon EVER. I just watch you transform old beat up pieces into the most elegant show pieces. When I feel like some of the “befores” I chill out and slowly become one of the “reveals”. Thank you.
