I watch basically everything Peter does, but $950 is pretty steep. For those who have taken part in these webinars, is the content that much different from the stuff Peter puts out on a regular basis that the price is worth it? Or does he talk about these things a few weeks later in his regular videos?

It's intended for a wholly different audience than his books or KZfaq channel. It is for financial analysts, CEOs, and that sort of crowd. It's a business expense, and cheaper than most conference tickets for example. Some things in life are priced differently for individuals versus for businesses, and this is one of those things. It'll dive into the boring questions that people managing millions of dollars of risk will want to know, so it's not really for us anyways who just want to understand the world we live in.

Peter, if you'd offered an event for $50 or $25 etc, you would have brought a hell of a lot more people to your event and your mailing list. It's a brilliant to market to your KZfaq audience, but to exclude almost everyone by charging prices that will be unaffordable to most comes across as less than welcoming. Your target demographic may be the elites but that's not the majority of your audience. Maybe you could consider doing events for regular people who enjoy your content.

950 is limiting and yet accessible if it is worth enough to you as an individual - it is as smug as anything else Peter does. End of the day he only needs .05% of his active subscriber base (and not all are on KZfaq) to turn 3.5 million in revenue. The effect is the number of folks that get to contribute in the dialogue is lessened but eminently more manageable. Opportunity cost is the folks that don’t receive further engagement that often expand the brand.

My top risk is that the cost of webinars will increase to the point where it consumes all of my disposable income. Seriously, mine is that climate change and other environmental impacts where we are exceeding the Earth's carrying capacity will increasingly divide the world into those with the resources to adapt to the changing world and those without. The scale of the number of people impacted and the severity of the impacts will drive "refugee migration" to a degree never seen before at the southern borders of the U.S & Canada, Europe, and perhaps even Russia, resulting in a profound destabilization of the world order (such as it is). Interestingly, the "target" migration countries are those with the greatest demographic need for immigration, so there is opportunity here, but the scale of what's going to happen will massively outweigh any economically desirable level of added population.

I agree. We really need to look at our immigration laws in particularly refugee laws. We are certainly going to have to be in control of our borders. There's going to be a lot of people with very very good reasons on the move. But there are limits to how many we can take without destroying ourselves.

@@edwardneilsen2139 - Yup. Europe will get the worst of it, but all of the Northern countries are going to be under a level of pressure we have never seen before. And I agree, there's a maximum tolerable level for all of us. But what so we do when the stream of refugees is 10X or 100X that number? People who face misery and starvation if they stay where they are, mainly because of the lifestyles of the Global North over the past century? It's an enforcement issue, but also ultimately a moral one. Meanwhile, as things get worse, most citizens of the Global North will be pressuring their governments to spend resources on ADAPTATION, leaving even less to try to help countries of the Global South.
