"Reign of Fire" - Star Wars Scene

Watch as Gerard Butler and Christian Bale re-create a little piece of cinematic history for a group of very enthusiast children in Rob Bowman's 2002 film, "Reign Of Fire".
I haven't actually finished the movie yet but this scene made me so giddy I had to upload it ASAP.
Edit: Finished it. I really liked it up until that "Here's to evolution" line at the very end, very lame. Actually I thought that whole second ending was stupid and unnecessary, we already knew "that" was going to happen, they didn't have to re-show it to us and treat us all like idiots. GOSH.

This is a very powerful scene, both in Star Wars and Reign of Fire... because in the latter it shows that it's one of the few pieces of "art" that made it to that time, after all the dragon attacks...

This scene actually, genuinely, brought a tear to my eye and a knot in my throat. It brought back how powerful the scene in the empire strikes back was when it was new.

Did they make these kids wait three years to find out if Vader is actually Luke's father? Because that's how long fans had to wait back then to find out.

@@rajeshsrajeshs What? There absolutely was waiting. The whole reason there's a scene in RotJ in which Luke visits Yoda to ask if Vader is really his father is because a lot of the audience didn't really believe it and thought Vader was lying.

This single reenactment from The Empire Strikes Back is still *so much more* entertaining than anything in The Rise of Skywalker. "Tune in tomorrow, kids, for Return of the Jedi. If you sign the casting roster now, you might get a chance to play an Ewok extra."

It actually makes sense that Star Wars (the original trilogy, at least) would survive as a story and be handed down in the post-apocalyptic future. And of course, Lucas probably wouldn't have survived, so in a lawless time with little to no real civilization, ownership would be up for grabs whether there are people around to remember Georgey or not. Besides, with what Lucas is currently doing to the franchise, would we really want Star Wars associated with him anymore?

I never seen the totally rad show, just a big fan of 10 Cloverfield Lane and Prey but wiki says: "Each of the first 104 episodes of The Totally Rad Show opened with a re-enactment or re-interpretation of a scene from a popular movie or iconic pop-culture moment." notice how pronoun politics and ehtno marxism "equity" and forced representation were not the themes in this re-enactment of Star Wars. Reign of Fire captured the true spirit of STar Wars, it did it better than those seequals.
