Thanks so much! I liked those photos too, just shows that it’s worth waiting for a shot to come around if you think it could be good, it didn’t show in the video but I waited at the fruit stall for about 10 minutes. Definitely try it! It’s so fun 😁

Due to its macro capabilities it can be a little slow, but overall I think for street photography you should be fine as you’re mostly shooting things at a distance, if you were wanting to go from macro shots to wide angle shots really quickly, that’s where you would notice the slow autofocus. You also notice the slow focus when you’re filming video, as the motor slows down to prevent noise. But overall I’m happy with the lens and it’s a great price and weight 😊 hope this helps!

I’ll go into a little more detail in the q&a but basically I find that focussing method works really well for Street Photography, I choose where it focuses instead of relying on the camera focussing on what it thinks I want it to. I find it just more reliable on the whole 😊

Hey! It really depends. If you’re okay with the extra weight, and the fact you have to adapt the sigma to the EOS R then I would say the sigma is great for weddings, its really sharp. However, if you want something more native that also gives you the option of macro capabilities, the Canon f2 is a great choice, it’s also very light and still sharp - you just don’t get as much flexibility with low light. I don’t regret trading the sigma for the 85mm f2 but it’s all about preference 😊

@@deryncorbett someone told me rf 85 f2 better than sigma 85 because use without adapter thats why its provide better bokhe and sharpness too

Hello! I actually edited these street shots very similar to how I edit my commercial shoots, I’m trying to make everything feel consistent on my grid. Oh wow I must have done!! Weird considering I had quite an obvious camera setup too, I feel I could have gotten away with it more with my Fuji for sure

I haven’t used it enough to make a good enough comparison yet..however, I’ve really enjoyed using the RF and it’s much lighter, more compact size. Both lenses are nice and sharp but I would like to use the RF 85mm a little more before comparing. I absolutely loved the sigma 85mm but it just became too heavy in the end and I found it was missing focus more often. I’m definitely looking forward to sigma bringing out some RF glass, hopefully in 2021. Thanks for watching 😊

@@deryncorbett yeah! My sigma does misses focus sometimes! Although I’m a boudoir/portrait photographer so I don’t mind... but I just got today the RF 50 1.2 and man.... What a BEAST!!!!!
