Why didn't you bring the connectors to the engine bay instead of running the wires back to the original location?

Curious if you remember what the black connect and the grey connector were that you didn’t disconnect were for?

Ok I have a question… I have something on that plate where you relocated the pumps… but there is an open spot behind the washer fluid reservoir on the wheel well?? I wonder if I could relocate them there?

Hello, great video very clear and instructional. Question have you attempted to find a replacement pump ? My buddy has a dead one and we cannot find any replacements as Jeep does not make them anymore any ideas you may have would be great.

Most people just replace the pumps with an ARB compressor pump. You’d have to find someone parting out a Rubicon. Maybe try Facebook marketplace

If you're still looking for a pump, there are many other vehicles that use the same pump. I don't have access to all the info at the moment, but I've seen lists on Jeep forums, and if you have a part number, they *should* be able to locate one for you (regardless of the vehicle application).

I googled them and found one on eBay. Got it today for like $175

Do you know the size of the inlet tube

That was well done. My one question is: what was the motivation to relocate the pumps?
@Faq-ubeach2 жыл бұрын
Easy answer: to keep them better protected. Under the vehicle they're exposed to the elements and they get real corroded and rusty. The reason it's important to keep them in good shape is because they don't make them anymore.

Another reason is that some tummy tuck skid plates don't leave the pumps easily accessible.

Got a question for you. I am deleting my pumps all together, they are both shot, I am doing a custom onboard air setup with regulated air to solenoids... Anyway, I was wondering if you knew what the pink wire from the pump harness is used for? There is red, black, and pink. Thanks in advance.

I'm not entirely sure to be honest sorry. I'm sure you could find it with some searching of some older forums.

For the flush mount skid plate. It requires the relocation of the pumps to get 3" more ground clearance. Beneficial on the LJs savvyoffroad.com/product/uam-late/
