This is a casual review of the ReMarkable 2 Electronic Notebook and the Marker Plus stylus. For more information, see here

I also bought the grey polymer weave Folio that magnetically holds the notebook. I also bought (from Amazon) an additional EMR pen, the Staedtler Noris Digital 'pencil'. If it had an eraser built in it would be perfect.
Specs are:
Specifications CPU: 1.2 GHz dual core ARM processor, 8GB of Storage, 1GB of memory all powered by a 3000mah battery. The overall dimensions are 9.7" x 7.4" x 0.2" and it weighs about 14 ounces (0.88 pounds). The display is 10.3" with a 1872 by 1404 pixel digital e-ink paper. It has support for 2.4ghz and 5ghz WiFi. The marker pen supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

An attempt at creating a review video. This was a good exercise on a number of fronts. I scripted all the words prior to filming and then loaded them onto a web-based teleprompter
telepromptermirror.com/voice-...
I had a laptop casting the text onto a mirror that the camera looked through. The laptop had an external Rode VideoMic Pro microphone plugged in to help with the audio quality for the teleprompter. The Teleprompter was a bit hit and miss, seemed to work well before filming and then got jinxed when the recording light was on. I used a Panasonic S1H with a Sigma Art 50mm lens, set to something like f5. The S1H is encased in a Tilta cage to provide lots of cold shoes for; the remote, audio receiver, monitor, HMDI clamp, etc. I set it on manual focus in the hope that it wouldn't matter too much if I moved around, but hoping to blur the 'wood' background. Not very successful on all counts (see bloopers at end). I recorded in 4k 24fps using LOG. However, there was no need for LOG as was filming in the evening most of the time. Sound was courtesy of a Rode Wireless GO set with a Lavalier and straight into the S1H camera. Lighting consisted of a soft box from the front left and a light behind me shining up from the floor. I used a Atomos Ninja Assassin 7" monitor for framing and focus assistance (pah!).
The editing process was interesting. I'm conscious that me talking in monotone for long lengths is dull, so started to add in stock clips. I tried some jump cuts but that just looked awkward so removed them. The music helps during those silent times when you're just watching me scribble. Applied the Panasonic (basic) LUT to all S1H footage.
Some B-Roll was created with a camera (manual) slider. I used Windows 10 XBox Gaming recording features (Windows Key-G) to record the reMarkable 2 Windows application but I noticed that it sliced off the bottom part of video captures.
The backdrop is "Retro Brown Wood Background" from Kate Backdrop UK and was my attempt to replicate the Peter McKinnon/Matti Haapoja real wood background. Look at those pull marks from the clamps.. :-)

Editing with Adobe CC (Premiere Pro)
This took about 5 hours to write and film, and probably about 10 hours to edit (over two days).
EDIT: Well, just over a week and we're near 550 views (thank you to all!) and 15 subscribers (amazing!) which is great. A lot of views having been driven by keywords around "reMarkable" (obviously), so there must be quite a bit of interest.
