Thank you I’ve been trying to get a drive around for about a week, I tried everything I saw on KZfaq, and nothing worked until I saw this, I reverse the driver, held a bit with a cloth, and I came straight out! Thank you so much

That was awesome! I had a drill with a bound up chuck so I used my impact driver to drill out a screw stuck in my car license plate a while back and the drill bit got stuck but I never thought of that because I would never grab a drill bit like that. Instead, I got my pliers and held the squared off base of the bit and this worked! Thanks!

Thanks for this video! I had a screw extractor but stuck in my impact driver and holding it with pliers and going forward and backward a few times got it loose.

I have had the same problem Irwin and Bosch bit holders. Not only lose the bit holder but also the bit. There seems to be a common design flaw among the manufacturers thar causes this problem.

I got a short 1/2 inch bit stuck in a Ridged 1/4 impact tool I have a makita bit set even the small bits will lock in directly you don't need an adaptor. I got it stuck what I did was spray WD40 in the chuck and then run a wood screw in and back out on a block of wood. Then the bit was able to be removed with no effort just by pulling up on the locking ring. Probably not a good idea to put those tiny bits right in the chuck not much to grab onto. Ill just use the extension that comes with the kit from now on.
