Listening to non-mainstream genres has always been my thing and when I hear people say there is no good music out there these days well, yer not digging deep enough THERE IS!!! Pretty much discovering Ren now, and this is my favorite new piece by him. What I find fascinating about Ren (apart from his multi talents) is the fact that even though he's handsome and charismatic, he does'nt rely on that at all. His work, his passion and his laser focus is what he brings to his music. He shows us a lot of himself, but doesnt sell the superficial. I find that bloody refreshing.

Ren has changed me. I'm 64, and I listen to rock and folk music. I never listened to rap or hip hop. In my defense, I never disliked those genres. I just didn't think I connected with that type of music. Then I came across Hi Ren. I didn't know what I was getting into. My first thoughts: Fucking brilliant on the guitar! And he's cute as fuck! (I'm gay, cut me some slack!) 3 minutes in, and the tears start flowing. By the end I was a blubbering mess. Of course I went down the Ren rabbit hole. I haven't found a single song of his that I don't love. It's been months now, and I still listen to Ren EVERY DAY. My Echo must be tired of hearing, "Alexa, play music by Ren." I get home from work, and do I sit down, relax, and watch TV? NO! I watch freaking Ren videos! I even find myself rationing them out. "No, don't watch that one yet. Save it for later. Watch Chalk Outlines again. Or Genesis." Seriously, I'm hooked.
