In this video i replace the lower control arms on a Renault Laguna3, I made two mistakes that i will go into at the end of the video.
This video is for entertainment purposes only. Under no circumstances should you do what I do.

You really did a great work. Thank you very muchg for sharing. I need to change the anti roll bar bushings, do you think that I have to lower the subframe to have enough access? Many thanks.

Hey thanks very much for the kind comment, for the anti roll bar bushings you will need to lower the subframe as access is very hard. Good luck with the job. I did mine but I had the subframe out as I noticed the steering rack was leaking bad so I put a new one in

Inner tie rod boot is in the way, it's better if you take it out but it's still doable if you have small fingers.

At last, a detailed, well-filmed video on how to change those bloody control arms! I'm going to try it next week and change my inner and outer tie rods too. How long did it take? Did you also change the sway bar bushings while the frame was lowered?

Hey thanks for the comment I really appreciate it, it took me around two hours to complete the job. I didn’t change sway bar bushings at that moment as I needed to change the steering rack, I noticed it was leaking badly when doing this job so waited until I had the whole subframe out and done them then.

@@quickfixmechanics Thanks a bunch. I'm just afraid about the subframe part. I'll put a jack under just like you did but I'm afraid everything falls off!

Once you have the jack under the subframe all will be fine, just don’t lower it too much as the steering rack is attached to it

@@quickfixmechanics Thanks to you I managed to change them yesterday. Tightened the bolts at ride height with torque specs. I just forgot to put the nut back on one of the two ball joints, car started locking up after a few meters haha. Thanks again!
