I have a 197 (not a f1) but has the cup chassis and recaros had it 11 years and still love it. Thought I would have moved it on after I got my 275 trophy but that didn't happen. Great little cars 👍. Excellent vid

Cheers from Romania ! :) i am an ex owner of a 197 Sport Chasis and now an onwner of a 200 CUP (factory cup or "light" cup how they call it). i drove all the 2 RS's there, the main diferences are in how the car is planted (as you said) and the biggest upgrade from 2 RS to 3 RS are the brakes, those Brembo do brake and if you upgrade the pad it rocks :) The problem with the F1 edition is that is very heavy, it s very heavy in comparation with my 200 CUP but much more heavy than the 182, 172, etc. ps: i love my 200, i will never sell it ! 😍 ps2: the best mod for 197/200 is the Akrapovic full system and an LSD in the gearbox ! 😎

Enjoyed the video Rich but was hoping it might be a little more directly comparative with the 182. With both this and the Subaru stroker video, I think it would have been great if you’d given your opinion as to whether those vehicles were worth the additional outlay in comparison to your cars (Impreza & 182 respectively). Appreciate that you may not want to offend anyone who has been kind enough to lend you their cars but I’m sure quite a few of your followers will have the same cars as you and would love to know whether that potential step up was worth the costs involved. Thanks again for the video and I hope you don’t mind me giving my opinion! 👍

Hold that thought ….. the second video is the comparison between my 182 and the 197! You’re a week or two ahead of my editing. All filmed on the same day but I wanted a 197 F1 review first, followed by the 182 v 197 video to come. It won’t be next week, but will be the week after - I promise. You’re too quick 🤣 When it comes to reviewing all the cars I always give a fair and reason view. No car is perfect, like no car is all terrible, there are always Pro’s and Con’s to each and every car and all the owners always want my honest and open opinion. All thoughts, recommendations are welcome, so please comment as needed 👍🏻

Is a decat legal I think the police can’t do anything it’s mainly dvla?

It’s a legal requirement to have a cat (subject to year) fitted for the MOT. What happens in between ….. 🤷♂️🤣

It will have been to create the pops n bangs - the map wasn’t done by the current owner!

@@FastandFun was it just a mapped ecu do you know or proper dyno map I want a map done but for a dyno one it’s 3 hours away lol or can just get a ecu sent to my door not sure what to do

@@HondafnI would only go to a reputable RS specialist that has proven experience in mapping Renaultsports. A badly done map could ruin the car.
