Hi Robert, Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Yes, you can render over FC Sheeting and it's suitable for exterior use. The key is to patch & prep with mesh over joints and use a polymer render basecoat. Give us a call if you require further information 1300 736 668.

if the walls are brick, use gyprock masonry adhesive" 20kg bags, "Dot and dab" the poms call it, 75mm dobs at about 400mm each way - if bricks are way out of plumb or not straight then have those dobs 40mm thick. put ur sheet up against the wall on those dobs and with a 2M long level gently thump the sheet into the adhesive to achieve a level surface, it will suck onto those dots and dabs of adhesive ok.... now if the basement walls are timber framed, use wall board glue, again 400mm centers - screw the board onto the stud at the ''high'' spots, leave the hollows, you wont need many screws - 4 to 6 at most, and no need to screw them in flush as this will have your sheet follow the bent wall - they're there to hold the sheet flat till the glue dries ok, hold a 2.4m straight edge against the sheet while srewing the sheet, to get it level and straight, if the walls really bad set up a 75mm nail each end of the wall to attach a string line to, measure the nail to thump it in to say 50mm of the wall, in a mortar join if brick - you may need to use a few nails till one doesn't bend when hammering it in, tie string tight. this you can measure back to as you put ur sheet up whilst dot'n dabbing or screwing, I would have 3 strings - top, bottom and center horz.

Actually the guy that ínvented 'Rockcote' is an old plasterer, he has bad dermatitis from the old rendering products too, I had the pleasure of meeting him long ago. It's good stuff bud....

+bjaudio there is no need to paint over ROCKCOTE Coloured Render - you just need to ensure that you have used the correct base coat and surface preparation for your substrate.
