What I always loved about this line of figures is that Sonic and friends are done in Yuji Uekawa's art style from the game. It really make them the most unique looking set of Sonic toys. Sonic is literally the game's cover art in physical form and that's rad!!

Ya know. I never thought that once while making this video and that’s a shame. Because goddamn, it would be awesome if JP would kinda homage this line by doing a series of releases where they recreate the style of certain games’ artwork/style. I’d buy into that like a broke fool! Now even more this makes me realize how much I miss this art style. And Sonic’s Adventure 2 soap shoes. ugh.

I actually had the smaller scale one as a little kid but remember it being kind of brittle and falling apart. I asked for a new one to replace it and my parents got me “Big the Cat”. As you can imagine, it wasn’t quite the same.

Even messing around with this big chunk of whatever he’s made out of, I can absolutely see the smaller scale figures being on the delicate side. Never had one myself, but looking at Sonic’s spindly arms in pictures.. oh yeah, easy lol Not the same indeed, but, Big’s kinda the boi. Annoying and sometimes useless. But also the boi. But I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be upset too lol

@@ShinRobjira Oh yeah haha. Ironically it was also one of those childhood toys that survived the test of time. My Sonic is long gone, but Big was built like a brick and will probably be passed down for generations to come. 😂 On the plus side, he made a good Totoro stand-in.

Love the old school Sonic figures. They all had their own unique styles since Sonic always had a unique artstyle for each game that came out in the late 90s and early 2000s. The figures made now are all based on the same old cookie cutter modern Sonic design which has been around for way too long. It tends to make them way less unique and stand out less.

Saw that plush once on eBay for a very..... not friendly price. Never seen the figure once, which sucks.. wouldn't mind owning an existential crisis Robo Boi. Dude's still my favorite story to go through In Sonic Adventure!

Probably the best sonic figure out there, very stylized compared to newer ones, when it comes to sonic figures give me cool and stylized designs over game accurate any day

I am also very upset we never got the 11in knuckles and tails figures they were shown on the back of this guys box but we never got them. But I am happy that we got these great figures at all.
