A real Rolex does not have the white plastic ring on the inside. But, of course, everyone knew it wasn't a real Rolex. Still, whatever it is, it is working and it looks nice.

So the dial no longer has damage from the springbar tool you used to remove the hands, the case is no longer deformed from that file you used to dig into it. Amazing... you should become a magian.

I thought rolex watch are either in gold case or highly grade stainless steel and therefore will not rust. Also the case is so tight dirt and water could not penetrate.

If nothing else it was a nice restoration. The plastic ring inside the movement identifies the quality craftsmanship of a Rolex.

I actually have this exact model of "Rolex". Purchased it in Northern Thailand about 20 years ago for $18 US if I remember correctly. Believe it or not, it is still running. The only work I have ever had done on it was some minor work with the winder. Even though it is a knock off I really like the look of the watch and still wear it. BTW I am not sure that Rolex ever mass produced this style of watch.

Watched him remove that caseback and bracelet and laughed my butt off. Then it got better using a sprinbar tool to remove the hands.... lol amazing!!!!!@

@qarlem the deep gouge he did to the dial using a springbar tool to remove the hands was gone in the finished shot, also the damage he did to the lugs and back using the file were gone too and the original shape of the lugs had magically been restored even tho he didn't weld new stainless steel to the case. He completely destroyed the case with the file and no "restoration" magic will repair the damage so the final shot was the watch before he destroyed it with the mud bath and amateur hacking.
