From what I have read at Amazon reviews (1 star), they indicate when applied it looked great; once dried it's back to the way it was - I was hoping your review would show us how it looked a day later.

Thank you SO much for posting this information. I just applied this solution to my "Crosley" tulip chairs (which are steel) and had terrific results. Reading a few other comments, I will cross my fingers that the oxidation doesn't return once the chairs are dry. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to post this video. :-)

After 2 months I did reapply to some areas that were being harder hit by the sun. That being said I still recommend this stuff. It goes on so quickly and easily that I do not mind occasionally reapplying. My outdoor furniture looked so bad my only other choices would have been to replace or repaint which would have been quite expensive.

I wanted to fix up my dried-out looking aluminum furniture, and a Google search led me to this video. I had also thought about car wax and WD-40, but opted to buy this product based on this review. A few days later, my furniture looks great. The product works exactly as shown here, and the smallest jug was more than enough for my dining table and six chairs with plenty left for subsequent years. This process will now be part of my annual spring yard cleanup. Thank you for the video. Much appreciated.

Lasts a couple of months at best. I have reapplied 6-8 times over the last 2 years. If you're going to sell your stuff and want it to look good, and don't care what the buyer winds up with later, then fine. If you are having a pool party and you want to make it look good for the party, then fine. But this stuff is NOT a magic bullet. It is a temporary fix. I doubt that any product can compete with having it professionally refinished, probably for 50% of the cost of a new set, so probably not really worth the trouble.

I have four black metal patio (rocking) dining chairs and tables. I don't know if it's wrought iron, aluminum, steel or a mix, but it came painted black. I re-sprayed it last summer--beautiful. I read how you should use car paste wax to protect the finish. I did that, buffed it, and with the first rain weeks later, it all turned horrifically white. It looks ruined after the winter & I'm distraught. I don't know how to remove the wax but saw this video and wondered if it would get me back to square one. What if I don't have aluminum? Anyone else with this problem? The chair backs and seats are like a wire mesh almost with tubular parts, flat arms...thx!
@DoItYourselfDad
@DoItYourselfDad 3 ай бұрын
You can check your chairs with a maggot, if the maggot does not stick to the chairs, it is most likely aluminum. As far as getting the wax off, I would suggest either a pressure washer, or some sort of wax remover, or using something like Dawn dish soap. The pressure washer may Screw up the paint, so that may not be the best choice.

It may, wax is tough to get off. I’ve used armor all to get wax off surfaces, the issue on furniture is that it would leave the furniture oily so you would them want to use a degreaser afterwards.

These are products that are used in high end detailing shops. They are used because of the results they produce. They would not be used if they came off in cars that cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. I am not trying to reinvent the wheel, I just want the best that is also rated the highest.

There are also very high-end ceramic polish/sealers. There are multiple steps in the process and must be applied in a low dust environment. Any imperfections will be trapped in the coating system finish. This will give you the hardest finish by far.
