Brad’s face when she smacks the Listerine guy is priceless.

Thanks for these classic Stan Freiburg commercials . He had a nack for adding comedy to an ordinary product and get our attention and hopefully more sales for the product in the ad.

I believe in Freberg, too! ...and Cleveland, Cincinnati, and the Easter Bunny, them too! RIP

Stan Freberg strikes again!! Here's another spot he created for Jeno's Pizza Rolls (shortly after the famous "Show Us Your Pizza Roll" ad in '68, featuring The Lone Ranger & Tonto), while taking satiric aim at several other commercials, including Folger's Coffee's "Mrs. Olson" ads and P&G's "Scope" spots {"You have bad breath...BAD BREATH!"}. "Mrs. Clark" is Patty Regan, "Brad" is Dick Peabody (who appeared in a previous Jeno's ad); Freberg himself is the off-screen voice at :46.

Carol Burnett used to do these commercial skits on her shows back in the days.

"LOUSIE CLARK, START WEARING CLANER BLOUSES!" is a reference to a "Dash" detergent commercial at the time.

This commercial was a spoof on other actual tv commercials at the time. 😂 Stan Freeberg was ahead of his time

Mrs. Clark is played by Patty Regan. She's a hoot.

This is confusing. When first watching it I thought it was either gonna be a pizza roll commercial, coffee commercial, breath freshener commercial, or a laundry detergent commercial.

They were spoofing other commercials that were popular at the time. Unless you get the references to those particular commercials, I can see how it would get confusing.

Jeno's pizza rolls became Totino's in the 1970s

That was like a more modern commercial. Ahead of it's time.

YES, 'Driver'- only Stan would remember Ole & Chic to make a subtle reference to them...

Does anybody have the Stan Freburg commercial where the narrator is trying to do an interview for a cat food commercial, but the interview subject keeps changing the subject to the play "Absurd Person Singular"? I remember seeing it on one of those TV specials about commercials...

@graflex16mm I don't recall this one but commercials today and say the last 25 years are so much better.. though this one showed a sophistication not common then... "Mother, I'd rather do it myself".....lol
