For me, MadSeason is synonymous with the months and days leading up to the classic servers back in 2019. It was the most excited that I have ever been, and likely will ever be for a game release, and his videos were the centerpiece of my excitement. He is just as nostalgic to me as the game itself at this point. Welcome back!

Life has been so fucking tough lately for me and I’ve been struggling. As soon as I saw the VHS tape I smiled for the first time in a what feels like forever. Hearing those chord strums and the outro gave me actual chills. It feels like I’m reconnecting with an old friend and it’s making me tear up. Welcome back man, thank you so much for still being here. Warcraft music used to be masterpiece, but that was a different era. An era when blizzard put a lot of effort and resources into making quality games. Even the music from warcraft 2 is amazing to this day.

@robtherelic510 who actively goes out of their way to clean up who they're subbed to when the content creator doesn't post anymore.. I know I don't and couldn't care less. I don't know a single person who goes through who they're subbed to and unsubs because no videos are being pumped out currently. You just leave your sub, since it costs $0. Hell, half of you are still subbed to Punkrat... dude fell off the face of the earth in classic vanilla around AQ and half you guys are still subbed to him..

There was a moment I felt goosebumps. The question you ask yourself is one I ask myself too. There is emotional depth and history in that game. I have let it go and picked up on it a lot of times. The reason i became a fan of this channel is because of how well your videos are produced and your soft spoken words, but most of all the feeling of nostalgia that your WOW videos exude. Your editing skills are also some of the best on YT. So i come back to this channel every year to see how MS is doing. Your videos are beautiful and relaxing and always a pleasure to enjoy. And seeing someone else enjoy the game makes me smile. You seem super chill and I’ve loved your long form videos even if they are infrequent. I was thinking about this yesterday. When I bought WoW for the first time, the process of putting 6 CD's in your computer one at a time for each of them to install never seemed to bother me. It was like a ceremonial process. It was ritualistic. Back then you couldn't really use your PC while games were installing (at least you weren't supposed to anyway.) For some reason, the nostalgia of installing games on your PC with a CD and the intense anticipation of playing that game (especially WoW) will always remain a fond memory of my youth.

I'm 27 and my significant other of 5 years left me a month ago. You have no idea how thrilled this return makes me. As soon as you said "World of Warcraft was my escape". I too have a full time adult job, social life, avid gym goer. Two days after our relationship ended I re-upped my WoW subscription and have played nearly nightly. Your videos were peak entertainment for me in college. Glad you're back, completely unrelated but you coming back gives me joy in the gaming world I haven't felt in a long time!

when I first found your videos years ago, I was watching someone having fun like they were experiencing playing WoW for the first time again. I who had stopped playing wow prior to finding your videos, said "Fuck it, the time is now" as i got chills up my spine because I knew i was going to have fun. I then played Classic from day 1 till the portal opening. Then played until I saw the video you had released about the "PROGRE$$ION" part of wow and i said to myself, "Fuck it, it is time" so i stopped playing. Now here I am saying "IT IS TIME" as i hear your iconic Madseason entrance music and it is like getting my first epic all over again. It’s great to have you back. I haven’t played retail since 2010, but the urge to come back to WoW has been with me for many years. Eventually I got back into Vanilla and stayed with that fantastic world for many years. It doesn’t really matter that I can navigate most zones without a map and know precisely what to do, the magic is still there as long as you’re not into meta.

I'm puzzled and more than a little disappointed to see you returning, to be honest. It's always nice to hear from you, you're an amazing video editor, but... WoW hasn't reversed course on any of the awful policies and behavior from two years ago. Bobby Kotick's still in charge, WoW and Classic are both even more pay-to-win and microtransaction-buggered than ever before, they've completely given up on trying to fix faction balance, Blizzard continues its aggressive union-busting policies... I dunno, I guess I was looking for more than just a flashy "I'm playing again" video.

I'll be honest I have not played in over a year and a half now, Shadowlands did me in. It's creeping me out that out of all the comments I'm reading through yours is the only one even remotely close to acknowledging how this is wrong on some level. But lo and behold everyone's cheering for that needle sliding back in. Didn't he upload a video 9 days ago about how MMO's are dying preceded by almost two years worth of videos calling Blizzard out on their manipulative and toxic ways? I'm confused...

@@Lbird1993 Its not that complicated really, his wow-content gives value to people lives, so they are glad he is back. It would actually be more creepy if people were all ''oh no, dont let it back into your life, be strong'', trying to be all supportive and shit like they know him in any way, keeping it on the shallow entertainer-audience level is actually much healthier.
