I hope the Audio comes out ok! The bluejays were crazy that day at the cemetery. Could this Reuben also have been a War of 1812 service member? #crazycemeterylady #gravegeeks #cemetery #fyp #taphophile

I think it's a very good chance that the Reuben you found in the military was this same Reuben, whose stone you cleaned so well. It looks so much better! I need to do some looking thru newspapers for Tompkins County for my dad's 2nd wife. My mom, his 3rd wife, said that she committed suicide. If this is a fact, I would think there might be something in the local paper. At the very least, I hope to find her obituary. This would have been in 1946, if my memory is correct. I'm glad you mentioned newspapers because I had forgotten that I needed to do some research there.

Good place to check is Old Fulton Postcard site. All free. Just check the FAQ before you search. Amazing site but difficult to navigate

Thank you! My local library has given me a couple of search sites and they will actually help me search on their computers if I want to. I will check out the Old Fulton Postcards site!

Looks amazing. I think it's probably the same guy - he probably was a veteran from the War of 1812. The name doesn't sound very common and the date fits his age.

Yah that’s what I was thinking too. There was a guy with the same (yes I was surprised too) down state in Erie County I think? Why I can’t be 100%
