It's time to show you my new watch! After many videos wearing the Aventi A15 Wraith, let's finally unbox it together and see all of the details of this stunning timepiece. The Wraith is a hand wound tourbillon housed within a Saphite case in Paraiba Blue, with some magnificent details to take in.
Over the last few months I've been wearing this watch almost non-stop, as you will now have seen in probably 100 videos on the ‪@Shmee150‬ and ‪@TheShmuseum‬ channels. However, it's time for a return to Shwatch150 to go through my new Aventi in detail; from the unboxing experience, to a little more of the buying process with Aventi, and of course taking a very close look at the A15 Wraith itself.

So I guess it is the same story with Tim. Personally, I'm attracted to independents like MB&F for example. I actually have one. It's sooo super awesome. Other good watches at the lower end would be something from say, Sartory Billard, which is totally custom made to customer's specifications.

This watch is absolutely so beautiful. I love translucent watch cases and I love the color blue. Me and you have very similar interests in bright colors, watches, and cars etc. and funny enough my name is also Tim 😂😂😂

Now that I’ve got used to it, I really like this! Can we PLEASE though see the Daytona on your wrist at some points this year? Due to it being the Daytona’s 60th anniversary, I think that would be cool… also, these videos have come on tremendously in terms of both your presentation style (you’re one of the only people I’ve ever heard pronounce “tourbillon” correctly!) and your knowledge of the subject! Aventi are becoming increasingly popular and are renowned for being well made. Nonetheless , rather like Richard Mille, I just dont see the attraction in these oversized , expensive timepieces that resemble something you would find in a fancy Christmas cracker from a distance. Please showcase your Rolex Daytona in videos every once in a while. You said you dont wear it because of the value, but this watch is similar in price but looks terrible in comparison.

I’m not against luxury watches. I do feel the temptation. I know about Veblen goods and conspicuous consumption but I still feel tempted. I don’t understand large boxes though, they’re just a nuisance. The watch is going to go in a normal watch box and the delivery box is getting put away in case I want to sell it on in the future. Large boxes put me off

@@frogsplorer A luxury watch is £2-4k MAX. Anything more it better have diamonds in it. Especially not a watch that costs more than most peoples car. It’s just diminishing returns all for a brand name. Literally ZERO people give a shit about what is on your wrist, and it’s that amount of money sat there waiting to get lost or robbed. Very unintelligent accessory.

I love this watch, but I am curious how a black or carbon fiber looking strap would look, the strap would be my only change, using my hands to move my wheelchair, the white strap wouldn't stay white lol

Being a 25 year watch collector I can appreciate this piece for precisely the reasons Tim purchased it. It is very much a personal statement and it has deep meaning for him. Although this watch doesn’t fit my aesthetic or criteria of a grail watch and it would never reside in my collection, I do appreciate it for its quality of craftsmanship, unique materials selection and overall ethos. I’m glad I stumbled upon this video as I’ve been wracking my brain for months trying to figure out what that watch brand is.

Not my cup of tea, to be fair. But if someone piles the miles onto their own expensive cars and daily wears an expensive watch in the name of getting the most out of them, when most would keep them in a locked garage or safe as nothing more than trinkets, I think that’s great.

It's rated at 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness to put that in to perspective a mobile phone with start to scratch at around level 6 deeper scratches at level 7 ( I've watched too many JerryRigEverthing phone tests).

@@neilstothard - The higher on the Mohs scale the more brittle the material is. I can’t tell you how many customers I’ve seen in my jewelry repair business with broken diamonds. They’re always shocked because they’ve always heard diamonds are the hardest known substance. Doesn’t matter if we’re talking about metals or minerals hardness and brittleness go hand in hand.

This is why I settle for Chinese made tourbillons they work great keep accurate time and the prices are more affordable. Swiss made tourbillon costs way to much

it's funny that you say that, aventi started with Chinese tourbillions that they bought in for 200USD and sold for 6K, nice mark up huh? then they realised that they could make some of it in Switzerland and some of it in China for an even bigger price point, fooling people that it's "made in Switzerland", when it's actually not, hence no "swiss made". It's all just a scam sadly where Aventi themselves own the Chrono24 listings to make you believe that the market is hot for these watches when they're not.
