My first time trying edibles story: I have a heart condition, but at this time I had had surgery to “fix” the issue (spoiler alert it didn’t). I had smoked weed before but never tried edibles. At a folk music festival, my friend bought a weed cookie and gave me a small piece of it. We had been drinking in the sun all day and hardly consuming water. A little while later, we get dinner and sit down on a blanket to eat and I could not stop laughing at my dinner because I thought it was hilarious. Then, my heart condition kicked in. I tried to go to the first aid tent but they told me that I was fine and nothing was wrong and that I was just high. I knew I wasn’t fine, so I insisted I go to the hospital. They got me to the hospital where I spent the next 14 hours in both the ER and the intensive cardiac care unit cause my heart would not calm tf down. I’d love to say I never did edibles again, but…

i saw someone else share their first edible story and thought id share mine this was in senior year of high school, i used to know this guy ill call g. i didnt really like g LMAO he was a little bit on the creepy side because he had a crush on me, but he knew i had a bf and just saw him as a friend… but he kept trying to win me over?? idk he was kind of an incel. but anyway because he tried to win me over id take advantage of him sometimes (ik it sucks but he was AWFUL and had been doing shit to me for four years at that point after i asked him to stop so i still feel like he deserved it), and this was one of those times. he drove me home from school that day because he had something for me as an early xmas present, so we get to my house and he opens his glove box like “have u ever tried edibles?” IVE NEVER TRIED ANY WEED AT THIS POINT BTW. THIS WAS MY FIRST HIGH. so i take the edible, its just a little sour patch gummy but i thought it tasted weird at first but he said it was part of the edible stuff. i talked w him for a little while and he saw my high start kicking in (eyelids were droopy and i got more giggly) so he told me to go enjoy my high, and i did! for a while anyway. about an hour into my high, im watching rocky horror, and my mom comes into my room telling me about the orchestra event i had to do (i was first chair cello in senior year). WHAT???? turns out id completely forgotten about the ladys church xmas event my orchestra had been scheduled to play for, so while still high, i had to go down there and play at a church for community service hours at school. it was kinda fine because no one caught on (i think) but it was also terrifying because IT WAS MY FIRST HIGH!!!!!!!! g ended up giving me two more edibles later on “for emergencies” and i treasured them through winter break, now i use weed to treat my anxiety and chronic pain

not really a secret or as chaotic as some of these secrets but the first time i ever got high was from a really strong edible and i ended up creating an entire language based around my dry mouth and then convinced myself i had in fact made it when i was 5 and that i was rediscovering it, and then passed out and went to sleep. woke up still high the next day.
