Anyone have any mental health or sport psychology questions i can ask experts for ya?

So about once a week at practice I always get too afraid to fully commit and I don’t get a single vault in but the next day I commit and it’s like nothing happened. This happened at a meet once and it was very embarrassing, any suggestions?

Thanks again for everything! If you get a chance, would you also: what are good ways to take the pressure off yourself/channel the pressure into something positive in big meets? Big meets meaning championship, qualifier... as opposed to just an invitational or grand prix event

Happy to see you back. I’ve been coaching for 23 years at the high school level. I love watching the video reviews. Being able to see what you see, breaking down film. I learn the most that way. Never stop learning. Thank you for all that you do. You have made an impact on so many of my athletes over the years.

Missed your videos my guy, welcome back! Would love to see a video of you analyzing Mondo's vault (maybe his most recent record breaking vault since it's timely). I'm a college vaulter so I feel like I can get a pretty basic understanding of how well someone jumps just from watching a video or two, but with Mondo seems like he's the only vaulter I just don't understand any of his mechanics at all. Surely there's some method to the madness. Takes off at least two feet under, seems to be swinging pretty early, then wabam! Pushing these massive poles like they're spaghetti and flying over the crossbar.

It's good to be back! I'd be jacked to review it but only if Mondo or his team ask or give permission. Our sport seems to have a problem with unsolicited coaching so that's something I'm trying to stay away from! But yea! If they ask, id be 100% down!

Wanted to say thanks with your info. 2nd year coach at a local high school. Boys current height on his second year is 3.15m. And for my Girls team, my top jumper just cleared 8' 6" and she just started a few weeks ago.

Nope! The pole will be awesome right out of the box. Maybe give it a hug and whisper some sweet nothings into its warning label. I hear they love that haha

@@TeamHootPoleVault ok thank you so much, your videos have helped me allot with my swing and inversion im 6 inches away with tieing my school record and 7 to breaking it so we bought me a new pole for more snap because my current pole has enough bend but not enough snap i will let you know how the new pole works when i get it thank you again.
