Plus you get throw combos and armored launcher. Janet is such a good kameo. She gives many characters conversions that aren’t normally possible with any kameo

Rewind you can punish the ex up dive kick with the ex lion kick regardless of what he does unless he does down dive kick but it still wouldn't punish you.

I can guarantee that down the road, they'll get rid of her 6 frame flip kick. They didnt even let scorpion keep his 6 frame demon dash in MK11. NRS stays nerfing everything all the time.

She would still be able to punish pokes if it’s faster than 9 frames. She just can’t punish -7 moves anymore if they nerf it

Im learning li mei because of rewind. I'm not looking for 50% combos. Just how to be safe and punish with 35%. And to the pros, as a newbie struggling with frame data, how do I counter my opponent. I know my frames, do I have to know my opponent's frame data too?

Generally speaking, yes.. knowing their frame data or atleast whats punishable and what's not is very important. Also if it is punishable, you could practice doing your most optimal punishable combo against characters your struggling with.

i havent picked up this game yet but i play alot of fighting games and one thing i recommend is atleast learning optimal combos and attempting them in play occasionally. that extra damage makes a world of difference and can win you a game you otherwise wouldnt have. on the other side of that coin i've gotten cooked online because i dropped a combo before

Learning other people’s frame data comes down to literally just that, you gotta hop in practice mode with whatever character you wanna test that day and look at all their strings and specials. You don’t have to know exactly how minus or plus something is, just whether or not its punishable with Li Mei’s reversal

If you make the gameplay faster in general, the characters don't need to do so much damage per combo. That's why mkx was so good. Ermac was a step in the right direction. When done correctly big damage combos are actually rewarding because they are earned and isn't just dev given Instant gratification and cheap dopamine.

@@fainemartin5336well Reiko has those long ass kicks. Li Mei doesn't range at all.. plus all of Li Mei strings have gaps. Even her low starter is unsafe.
