The Eve Energy Strip, features a Red Dot Award winning design wrapped in an aesthetically pleasing aluminum frame and matte black finish. This power strip features 3 outlets that can each be independently controlled via HomeKit and Siri. The native Eve app also provides power consumption and projected cost estimations! I use this power strip to turn on my Arcade1Up cabinets in my loft since I can power on each cabinet individually or all at a time.

I have a tough time coming up with a reasonable use for an $80-$100 power strip, but the arcade idea definitely fits the bill!

I have a VOCOlinc power strip in my bed that controls desk lamps via the outlets and a light strip via the USB port. The other USB ports are there to charge my Apple Watch & other smart devices. I may have to check out the Eve power strip. Thanks for the review.

I have two of those.. works well.. expensive to buy... Should I choose one HomeKit device to bring to a fitgh I would choose one of these.. they are really sturdy / heavy.. ! 😁

Do you need a home bridge or can you use the Eve Energy Strip directly through HomeKit?(Is it a third party product?)

No bridge needed, but you will need a Home hub like a HomePod mini or Apple TV if you want to add automations or control it remotely. Thanks for watching!🙏

Normally I would add a HomeKit device to the manufacturers app then to HomeKit after, is that not needed here?

Not in this case. Actually, most devices not requiring a hub can be added directly to HomeKit; it’s kinda the point of HomeKit. The Eve app is actually one of the more useful native apps, but I typically only use most native apps for firmware updates. Thanks for watching! 😊

Could you have it turn on something based on another factor? For example, I have a humidifier and dehumidifier. Can the humidifier turn on if the sensor says it’s too dry? I do not have as many plugs as I have things which should be connected to them

Yes, you’ll need to set up a rule in the Eve app and define your triggers and scenes. The Eve app actually is great actually for users that like to tinker and provides more options under HomeKit than the Home app. Thanks for watching!
