Not really . My friends and I even do girls trips a few times a year. It is important to keep friendships and not forget friends when you have a relationship. My mom used to even do girls trips in the 70's and leave us with my dad. Wasn't a big deal. My dad was happy to take over with the kids while she went. That is how it should be. the guy who plays Rick, Don Chastain, was very handsome. The character may seem over the top to younger viewers, but Rick was typical of someone whom you might meet in a bar in the '70s: self-consciously handsome, styled, moussed hair, shirt unbuttoned to his navel with a gold chair or two around his neck, and a smooth, easy of talking to women.

Joe would come home the next day and then we would talk about where he left if he didn't leave a note. And I could do this even without a cell phone. As for Joe's story of what happened, he should've showed some proof that he got his car fixed otherwise I would not believe him. Susie had several kids, she had responsibilities Rhoda didn't have. Rhoda had no kids, but seemingly thought Susie should neglect her own kids for Rhoda. It was crappy of Rhoda to be so bossy to Susie. Myrna should have kept the dinner date with Rhoda at her apt., she could have taken a rain check for a date with the bus driver. Rhoda should have been more attentive to her own marriage instead of bossing Myrna and Susie. Rhoda was always insecure about her marriage, and her self esteem was so low. It's also weird that in 2 episodes Rhoda encourages Joe to go somewhere without her, in this one and in Bump in the Night she tells him to go fishing with his dad in FL, that they don't always have to do things together.I think they should've dated longer, even though she is 30, she seems to not have any idea what marriage is, and the writers could've created funny 'adventures' to their dating. She just seemed to be stuck in 'single' mode.Actually, I never could imagine Rhoda or Mary ever being married on their shows because they seemed more like 1970's career women.Brenda, I can see being married.
