The young woman who played Joe's neighbor was Valerie's step-daughter at the time, Wendy Schaal, daughter of her then husband Richard Schaal.

This shiw could've been more successful and surpassed many many seasons if Rhoda's parents, especially her mom would have had more of a presence...and of course, no divorce

Anyone else agree that Joe was a total creep! He mentally abused Rhoda all the time! She was always walking on eggs around him!

Watching (and enjoying) in July, 2024. Question: where would a roommate sleep in Brenda's apartment??? (Or am I overthinking?)

Some of my work is in the mental health field, I am often curious how the various issues were addressed in the past. Ideas have come a long way, but building the budgets and educating individuals and community is still an enormous challenge.

Rhoda should’ve played a little hard-to-get with Joe. It’s NOT GOOD to play games in relationships but what can I say? Sometimes a little nudge in the right direction is the only way! Rhoda acted like a thirsty girl! They never let her grow out of her personal insecurities! This was the 70s! We were feminists in whatever big or small way we could. We DIDNT want to be seen as needy AT ALL. Happy 2024 and women are still fighting the good fight

I was SO FORTUNATE to watch these shows when they were new and I was 20-something! It was TRULY an amazing experience in life--such a joy to live when I did. Now in 2024--it’s ESPECIALLY important to remember how lucky I am cos THIS WORLD SUuuuUuuUUCkssssss!
