I always loved the way ida, Brenda and rhoda were so close to each other. They could argue and drive each other crazy, but at the end of the day, you know they loved each other to death, and would do anything for each other. That’s what real family is. Ida was like a force of nature. Great moms are the glue that keep a family together. Once they’re gone you realize just how much they did for you, how much they cared, and how much you miss them.

Those adhesive tiles were popular in the 1970s, and were mainly crap. My parents put such tile on their kitchen floor (1976) when I was in 9th grade, and about 2 years later some of those tiles were becoming loose. They were thick and white, with pastel blue designs, and felt like ceramic, but weren't. Now days they are probably made better. This episode was okay, not the usual hilarity. I wish Johnny were on more eps. He was cute.Sometimes Ida acts childish concerning her husband. She ought to be used to him. I can't imagine her as a cheerleader in high school, either.

Yeah vynl flooring has come a long way since the 70's. It use to bubble up and curl and peel up in the bathroom from the humidity of the shower. Rhoda's parents must be in their late 50s or early 60s if they celebrate 40 years of marriage. But in the first season Ida claimed to be 52 years old and she has been married for 37 years. That means Ida was 15 years young when she had married Marty.
