I don’t think Larson was his fault. Larson came down and spun Chastain because he hit the wall before Ross touched him. Before that restart Larson did the same thing. I know people will say Chastain shoved him into the wall before that. I know but Ross came out and said that he got tight and the announcer even backed him up because he tried to stop. People just need to leave an aggressive driver alone because he is still an amazing driver and he gets blamed anytime there is a wreak where he is near or sometimes even just on the track is enough for him to take the blame. I know he isn’t innocent, no driver is, but for god sake he makes a mistake and hits someone everyone is up in arms. So just leave him be and let a good driver race.

yes, but he specifically did that because Chastain ran Larson damn near into the wall during a previous green flag run. For the record, I am not a Larson fan, I find him to be painfully boring from a personally standpoint. He is supremely talented though, much more talented than Ross. Larson has the ability to run Ross into the wall without taking himself and his opponent out of the race. That is the CLEAR difference. Had Truex not fenced Logano and caused a massive pile up, then what Larson did would have worked to perfection giving himself the lead and Chastain planted in second BUT still with a chance to race his way back up front. That is how it should be done. Not to mention...in Truex's interview he blamed his wreck on handling issues which were caused by the stage 2 run in with Chastain. GO FIGURE.. The list goes on and on. But I guess some peoples memories only go as far back as the most previous restart.

Chastain is involved in too many of these deals. This isn’t the first week it’s been mentioned, or your new to the sport. How do you expect anyone to act when they get wrecked by the 1 car at this point? He’s apologized far too many times. He needs to learn to tone it down. Any driver in the field can attempt to race the same way as he does, but they don’t because its too aggressive style of racing. Chastain is the only driver in the field who is willing to push someone out of the way and nearly cause a wreck to gain 1 position. Anyone can go out there and race like a maniac…but you better have the skill to do it and not wreck anyone. Ross obviously doesn’t have that skill, and he needs to stop before he finds himself finishing last or in the garage each week. He’s also ruining the races for us fans as well. Nobody wants to see the best drivers get taken out each week…regardless if you root for them or not. Watching Chastain punt drivers out of the way on a weekly basis is getting old.

This exactly. Larson has no leg to stand on after punting xfinity series regular JHN for the win yesterday. Larson's restart with Chastain today with 6 to go was almost exactly the same as the restart with 90 to go, except Larson pinched Chastain down further on entry to 1 on the latter restart. I think that is what lead to both of them going into the wall. Looked like a racing deal; both were trying to take as much track as they could and pinch the other one off, just poor execution on both driver's part. That's what they're supposed to do, just executed better. Had Larson not leaned on him into 1, I think they would have had a drag race to 3. Everyone praises the Kurt Busch/Ricky Craven Darlington finish and it was full of contact; difference was they were able to execute their strategies without wrecking each other until the checkered flag. I wish we could see more close finishes like that. No matter who you root for, it's hard to go away unhappy when both competitors get to cross the finish line in a heated battle. Yesterday's xfinity race had all the makings of another classic Darlington finish to rival the Busch/Craven, or Smith/Edwards finish. Larson was coming on strong, but it absolutely didn't have to end like that. Spoiled what was going to be a great ending IMO. And they wonder why the young guys get to cup and are so aggressive with veterans; veterans forget what they drove like coming into the sport thirsty to make a name for themselves, and how they currently conduct themselves racing in the lower series. The only consolation was JHN was able to cross the finish line and only lose a few positions. If veterans want cleaner racing, then it has to start with them and specifically how they conduct themselves in the lower series.
@tthrasher34
@tthrasher34 Жыл бұрын
If you look at the replay (I just did) JHN initiates the contact with Larson going into turn three they both made contact with the wall in the center of three and then race for the win. JHN in his post race interview had no problems with Larson. There is a huge difference in what Ross admittedly did with 6 laps to go and what Larson and JHN did going into turn three on the last lap.
@KyleQuamme
@KyleQuamme Жыл бұрын
@@tthrasher34 You're proving my point though; there's nothing wrong with close hard racing and leaning on each other; that makes for exciting finishes like the Busch/Craven and Smith/Edwards finishes. Had Larson and JHN been leaning on each other to the line, that would have been an awesome finish. What I don't agree with is when drivers run out of talent, or let their anger dictate their driving and they wad someone up because of it. JHN might not have an issue with the finish of the race yesterday, but I do, especially considering the comments today. I'm allowed to have my own opinion. 🤷
@rodneyeckles4833
@rodneyeckles4833 Жыл бұрын
@Tommy Thrasher I have no problem with hard racing, nor do I have an issue with drivers leaning on each other. But in my opinion, Larson sometimes pushes aggressive driving too far. If he wants to bounce off the wall and it only affects his car, then fine. But bouncing into other drivers or going into corners out of control and running other drivers into the wall stops being aggressive and becomes wreckless. He turns on those lost puppy eyes in interviews, looking for sympathy, saying he can't fight. He should remember he can't fight before he does what he did to Wallace last year and Nemechek yesterday. And yes, Nemechek took the high road in his interview by saying he shouldn't have let Larson get close enough to have to race him at the end. But that doesn't mean he didn't think Larson was over aggressive.
