Wow! This is practically parity with ICE for 615km since the 18 minutes recharging stop would have been nearly identical as a gas + toilet stop.

Great video Kris, as always! Really efficient ev that mach E rwd. I wonder if my iX3 will be able to beat this, getting it next week. Are you planning any tests with it? Bjorn did his tests, but it was in very low temperatures at night during early spring.

Kris, very impressive 👍 real world trip time! You did not even need to pull in at 0% and still the Mach E made it to #1 thats truly amazing! as a current owner of a Tesla model 3, Audi eTron and Mustang Mach E .. I can also tell you the Mach E is one awesome value with comfort, range and driving dynamics. Our eTron is more Luxury but the Mach is we truly feel is the best overall value... my wife likes Luxury over best value so I will always have to buy something expensive for her but for me the Mach E is better overall than even my model 3.

You should test the rwd EQS with ~108 kWh and try to complete the round without recharging! 😁

Consumption is the same (even higher) than a model 3 at -7° Celcius :D

Why is it different range. In USA the range promised is 450 km, in Europe why is it higher?

In the US you test according to EPA in Europe we use a different testing cicle called WLTP. WLTP is always more optimistic than EPA. In China they are still using the old NEDC cycle which is incredibly optimistic.

Is it really relevant to have a ranked chart when temperatures are so different? I mean getting 18 kWh/100km in 20 C (Mach-E) on dry roads compared to 17,44 kWh/100km in below 0 C (Model 3) does not signal a more efficient car to me. Also, the distance is 19 km shorter, so it's makes sense to spend less time if you keeping to the speed limits. The data is still very interesting and I like these videos, but if you are going to rank them, I think you need to make some weighted score based on distance, time, kWh/100km, weather and road conditions. I think it's pretty obvious that the Model 3 is the most efficient car when you factor in these things.

Well I am only one person who can test one car at a time, I usually have these cars for a week. So one year = 52 weeks. A maximum of 52 cars. The key here is to be patient and a test enough times so we a have data from different temperatures and weather conditions. Creating and collecting data takes time. So NO, at this point in time you cannot compare all cars to each other, but hopefully I will test the Model 3 again this summer. Getting my hands on all of these cars is not always simple either. The distance is ALWAYS the same, 615km. The distance in the chart is what the car measures, which is different from car to car. This is a TIME test, I explain this at the very start of every of these videos. So the ONLY way to rank these cars and by TIME, as simple as that. This is NOT a scientific test, but a real world test to show how EV stack up when traveling in the real world and how they stack up against fossil cars. Yes the M3 is the most efficient, as I've been saying for a while now. But is you watch some of these tests, since chargers are at a certain intervall being more efficient does not always mean a better time because you wont actually get any further in the real world. And the Mach-E is efficient for the type of vehicle it is, nobody is claiming anything else.

Finally someone how's not sleeping ! This ranking list is not fair , because the temperature! If you want to compare this ev's it's better to do that in a laboratory. Under exactly the same conditions for all the cars. And than I can predict that the winner is definitely not Fort. But I think the brand with the big T... But I find the F M by far the most beautiful car there is even the car hasn't a heatpump.

The Mach e is a suv while Tesla 3 is a sedan ofcourse the sedan is going to be more efficient and have better range. You have to compare the model y to the Mach e

It's great that it achieves the best time so far, but the deviation from the WLTP is substantial. It should achieve 610 km, but in these near perfect conditions at 100 km/h it only achieves around 470 (440 with 7% left). Ford solves it with a big battery, but imagine what EVs will be able to do in 5 years time... ICE is dead

Biggest turn off are the seats tbh. When you compare these to Audi / BMW / Mercedes (and even P2 / M3) seats these just don't cut it.

How's this the long range with 400 something km and they claim 610 km from the go?? You're driving the regular Mach E not the long range

WLTP is done at much slower speed and represents mixed driving, and not motorway driving. That’s why I do this test. And it’s not 400km something, it is almost 500km. Big difference and one of the EVs with the best range currently. So no, this is the Long Range RWD, and stated in the label 🙈

No I mean, why the car isn't showing the stated 610km and the adjusting as km go to your driving and conditions, it's literally saying range is 610km and them you jump into the car and the car with a 100% charge says 400 something
