It is coming. It is currently in the works at the same time as FF7 remake. They will release FF7 first, then fix issues and implement it on ff8. As of right now, the only thing i heard that will have a remake is 7 and 8, i think they're not planning on remaking 9.

This game has a huge use of buff and debuff kind of like an RPG and some character have their play style around Debuff such as Exdeath, Exdeath's efficiency will depend on how well you use the Debuff he can inflict, so it play a huge role in this game (there's so much various buff and debuff that I cannot list them all).

Wouldnt say over shadowed, since i can see this HP move be ideal in maps like Alexandria. I think her search is the ideal move to go for overall though but you need partners that cancel their attacks.

The roster is definitely a big part of what's holding the game back. Gameplay isn't the best either but if we had more characters (especially ones LIKE Garnet, Yuna, Tifa + other fan favourites) it would make up for the lackluster gameplay

the two things that basically fecked the game over were: story mode/offline is shit. and the roster sucking pretty hard. should have had all characters from the previous dissidia in there immediately at minimum (considering their skill sets and things were already done it would only take slapping HD models on top. well, with the exception of Yuna if they're going with most recent so she would need her X-2 set up) with a couple new ones like Ace and kitty mage. and honestly, i would ADORE Garnet to be in this game. 1, cause i really like her. well... halfway through disc 2 and onwards i do atleast. 2, cause summons could be really awesome (though if it's pure summoning then i think Rydia would be better, already basically got a design for how Rydia works in my head lol) and 3, and this is the big one.... dat ass in that skin tight outfit in HD...... yes i am a perv but g'damn.

I still think the way to rescue NT is to follow the Dota 2 model. The season pass is holding it back

Rinoa is so OP right now, there is no way they _won't_ nerf her in the future.

To be honest is not news the Apocalypse spell i mean,in the few game Rinoa appeared like brave exvius or there is also a jp card game, she always possessed it as her strongest magic attack,is not like they give it to support the all their the same,the thing is in VIII was a huge spoiler discover at the end of the game,Rinoa had technically already gain Ultemicia powers through Edea,now people know about it is no longer a secret,Rinoa even if not in control of it use time magic to save Squall at the end,so have inherited also the strong magic Ultemicia created is not so weird,also Rinoa here come post VIII ending so even more reason to show it probably. In terms of gameplay though you right she is seriously OP right now,her attack are fast and she get priorities with most of them,she probably wont remain so though i think to an extent she will get nerfed once they make a bit more calculations to decide what weaken and what leave as it is to dont risk of nerfing her too much.

Anne Harisu Terra's been nerfed several times and was reworked before Rinoa's release, Rinoa's currently way more powerful than Terra right now as a shooter/marksman not to mention her arsenal's very similar with Terra's plus the mobility. Like what they said, it's impossible for her not to be nerfed, it just bothers me that they're releasing a character similar to a heavily nerfed character. It's not fair for both sides because it's like they didn't think that much for a more unique moveset for Rinoa. I think that we buy the season pass for new characters not a similar (or probably rip-off) character from the present roster. Peace.

What makes Rinoa so different from Terra is her Combine form, the one she starts off with where she can use Angelo. She uses _all_ physical attacks like that, which Terra has none of those whatsoever. It was obvious Rinoa's Angel Wing form was going to utilize magic already in the game as there are only so many spells. She has a much bigger arsenal than Terra, using Angelo, her Blaster Edge, _and_ her Angel Wing form. Again, Terra is not that versatile; she has a sword but never uses it, and her Trance mode only increases her Speed, Strength, and Attack Potency. You only compared their magical ability, which is only a portion of Rinoa's move-set.

FireHeart321 Terra has only magic attacks so that is all I can compare with the both of them, what else is there to compare? I am talking about mainly similarities because it's their difference that makes Rinoa waaay more.. better, it's ALMOST like playing a hero with slightly different skin, you can see most of her abilities from other heroes. Anyway, I'm hoping for the best in the remaining characters of the season pass.

Meltdown I can kinda understand. Although it is a standard spell anyone in FF8 can use, the spell doesn't appear very often in other mainline FF games. I kinda consider it one of FF8's signature spells. It kinda makes sense then to give it to the party's main sorceress.

I mean they already gave her a good chunk of Angelo moves for Brave Attacks, and it's a great balance overall between Sorceress Rinoa and regular human Rinoa. Plus it makes sense seeing as how she's a Sorceress to make most of her HP Attacks the best spells from FF8. Apocalypse is an odd, but reasonable, choice though. Guess the logic behind it (sans Rinoa = Ultimecia theory) being it's the most powerful spell in the game, even if it's only available to use in the final boss.

Part of me wants to see Selphie, just so we can finally see an official appearance of Percent and Catastrophe (her 2 dummied out Slots Spell).

meltdown is the most useful spell in the game, meteor wing is the most broken setup for her, and apocalypse is basically an ultimate spell in the game you can use but only available in the final battle.

Nah, Edea inherited Ultimecia's power when she protected little Squall from a dying Ultimecia in orphanage. So, when Edea inherited her power to Rinoa, it means Rinoa also received Ultimecia's power.

Personally a lot of hp attacks are similar in functionality. think square is running out of ideas with names and just started copy and pasting them.

Rinoa got Meltdown because FF8 Meltdown is probably the most useful spell in that game, because of VIT0 (turning defense/vitality to zero). Meteor because everyone who played FF8 knows how broken is the Meteor Wing setup of Rinoa, which turns her into a deadly solo boss killer. Apocalypse because she's the only one who can use it among the party members if drawn from Ulty in the last battle, and of course, being a sorceress and all.

Magic in all of Final Fantasy has the same names for these attacks. Meltdown, Meteor, Apocalypse, Flare, Holy, Fire/Water/Thunder/Blizzard/Aero/Stone and more have always been named this way. It might seem repetitive, but there is no other correct way to name most of the common magical attacks.

yeah well most magic in ff is the same so it only makes sense that every final fantasy world has similar spells (even if they work differently)

Selphie doesn't know Apocalypse. Her Slots will never bring up Apocalypse. Now The End is another level of sorcery, white magic OP-ness.

Ignore projectile collision pretty much. In this game, There are 5 level of projectile priority. Low, Medium, High, HP, and Anomalous. HP beats High, High beats Medium, Medium beats Low. Those are simple. But Anomalous will not collide with any magic and both projectile will pass through each other. In short. Angelo is invincible.

Trueblade Seeker K she sounds broken, her Meteor is pretty fast too IMO. I like Rinoa and am happy she is here but she gotta get a nerf. That or buff my man Bartz and I'll be fine with Rinoa as she is. :>

Aside from the whole basic HP attack, I don't really understand your logic though. Not saying that Rinoa kit is very unique, most of her move are the kind of archetype that we have seem before. but maybe because Marksman roster in general has been pretty varies despite sharing some similar move, Due to either Focus hard on one area. (Emperor = Zoning, Ultimecia = Stop enemy, Golbez = Snipe/Burst), has gimmick that played around moveset (Terra's magic charge, Shatotto's vivid mode) or having weird or unique attack themselves (Kefka, Y'shtola). Rinoa seem to be closest to Ace, Well round Marksman with a lot of tools and their main attack are good for Stopping enemy. but only on Angel Wing though. Combine form has less range which make her focus more on Mid range fight and Angelo Wait are use area zoning. It doesn't seem much for some, but I feel like her Angel wing form make up a lot of her uniqueness. Character who has powerful form, but immune to any buff or debuff does affect quite a number of character matchup. WOL,Kefka, and Sephy Ex skills will has no effect on Rinoa if she time it right. and Enfeeble and any debuff skill on her is also the same case. (Against Exdeath can be really interesting back and forth matchup). and team comp that focus on team buff like Bartz, Kuja, etc and Ex skills set up as well (Brave share doesn't even work on her) Well at least this is my thought. and I don't see her as generic shooter, but not very unique either.

Trueblade Seeker I think that's part of Rinoa's problem is that unlike other marksman who have a hard focus, her focus is somewhat vague. Best I can describe her as is a sort of counter assassin marksman, and like I said, i actually like her niche a lot, but I feel the implementation of it was rather bad, or at the very least kind of lazy. While her Combine stance is fairly defining for her in a lot of ways, I feel like Angel Wings, in spite of what it brings, strips away Rinoa's...uniqueness in a sense, and having very generic HP attacks with no interesting spin to them aside from Meteor being the best and Wishing Star either being total garbage, or an interesting tool to help manage Angel Wings really hurts her image imo. I'll probably still play her when she comes out because I like playing marksmen and Rinoa isn't the worst thing ever or anything, I just feel she might have been a bit rushed and suffers from not having a more thoroughly fleshed out kit like Vayne or Locke did, thus I feel disappointed about her arrival in general.
