I like what appears to be your 'behind the backdrop' train reversing idea. Very good exhibition layout.

It is a model of the Fell Diesel Mechanical locomotive built at Derby in 1950. The locomotive was powered by four Paxman 12-cylinder engines arranged in pairs beneath each bonnet, which gave a locomotive power of 2,000hp. No 10100 had a novel mechanical transmission consisting of a differential drive and fluid couplings connected through one central gearbox to its four driving axles.

Sorry, but I don't know much about the availability of European models in O gauge. I would suggest searching on the internet.
