My guess is coolant leak, lost the coolant, engine overheated which in turn expanded the badly gapped rings and it snagged. So I'd watch out for coolant leaks. Also, you are lucky with your girl. You should film putting a piston on the rod. I like to see different ways people do installs. who knows, there might be an easier way you do it opposed to how i install them

If the ring land gave out the ring turns and the ends of the ring catch the port. Dont know if that is what happened here. Cause by detonation and heat. I could be wrong.

I have a sled with the same 3021339 cylinders. One cylinder is damaged and I was gonna send it in for repair and replate but then I checked the crank and it doesn't rotate freely. It feels like it has a detent groove that it wants to stay in every 10 or 20 degrees when I spin it. Is that normal? I have a video I can post and link you to. I heard these engines have a lot of crank problems with the cases and bearings
