Last saturday I changed the original drive shaft from my iron cobras to new ones "trick" style (actually a really good brand from Brazil called KA Drums). At the same time I had zero practice last week, compared to 5/week I'm used to. So when I finally got to the drums I felt like I was flying. So I´ll just leave this here, a break once in a while may be a good thing. Give your muscules time to heal up nice and good.

Literally by setting up my seat lower for my hips to level height, don’t engage my hip reflector at all. All ankle technique and it’s been refreshing to relax hitting 160 with ease.

Behemoth's Sabbath Mater is 140bpm and trying to play it all the way through w/ ankle technique is a good time. Thanks again for the upload!

Hi Marthyn!! What an awesome video!! Thank you for sharing your amazing journey. I went back to the earlier vid and makes 100% sense!! Can I ask question though - your practice schedule in this ‘recovery’ series is 20-30 or so minutes every second day - is that the time we should be spending too, or is this just so that you don’t push to injure yourself. Sorry if it’s a stupid question.

Martin is there a technique called the "midfoot" technique? drumming involves using the ball of your foot to strike the pedal while maintaining a relaxed ankle motion?? Cheers in advance my friend👍

Do you think eccentric vs circular cam makes a difference for this? The 140-180 range is the majority of what i want to play double kick in more than the high upper regions

One thing that’s been confusing me for a while is that sometimes drummers talk about sitting higher to play double bass, and other times like here they say you should try to sit lower. So where does the difference lie exactly? Thanks!
