RoboCop (Peter Weller) defeats a band of thieves, then questions the survivor about the hyper-addictive drug, Nuke.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The serialized story structure and barbed social commentary from comic book creator and co-writer Frank Miller earned critical respect in this satirical science fiction sequel directed by Irvin Kershner. Peter Weller returns as RoboCop, a futuristic cyborg fashioned from cutting-edge technology and the biological remains of slain Detroit police officer, Alex Murphy. Still patrolling the city streets, RoboCop is scheduled by his creator, Omni Consumer Products, to be replaced by a new "superior" model, RoboCop 2, that according to designer Juliette Faxx (Belinda Bauer), will contain the human remains not of a cop but a criminal. In the meantime, an instantly addictive drug called Nuke is sweeping through Detroit thanks to a kingpin named Cain (Tom Noonan). Taking Cain to task, RoboCop is captured and dismantled. When he's put back together, the cyborg is reprogrammed with a series of socially conscious commands (in a sly mocking of the then relatively new concept of "political correctness") that render him impotent as a law enforcer. Taking charge by rewiring himself with an electrical overload, RoboCop arrests Cain, who is injured in the process. Faxx secretly takes Cain's brain and inserts it into RoboCop 2, turning the robot immediately into a law-breaking murder machine and leading to a violent showdown between two generations of robotic crime-fighters.

to be fair they paint blue is just a trick to do not cause reflection for the camera , the director explained that , then about robot skills well if you ever read the comics you may find that he is literally a killer machine almost unstoppable in the movies you barely see that I hope in the new movie we can see more of robo capabilities @@Luke56721

Dude, I don't know if this was a goof from the sound effects staff, but it's pretty interesting: when Robo shoots at the third goon at 01:19, he first fires his trademark 3-bullet burst followed by a single shot (which hits the goon at the left shoulder). he can easily in the comics robocop vs terminator he alone destroyed the entire skinet of course with some upgrades in his weapon system but he did , also in the same comic when the T-800 came to the past robo alone wipe out the T-800 easily and the ED-209 guns are capable of pierce T-800 body with single shots

This shows how this is a 1900th movie that the both the rocket and missile launcher barely blow up the car but the normal bullets made a bigger explosion and made a bigger impact to the car

Robocop Returns is also the name of a planned sequel to the 1987 Robocop movie. It's going to ignore the events of the previous sequels and the remake from 2014. Robocop 2 is actually a decent sequel since it still maintains the R-rating, the excessive violence and comedic moments are still intact, and the Cain villain was interesting in his human and cyborg form.

@Genesis Edits Yes. We do have the technology to use CGI for actor's faces even when they aren't in the movie. They did it with the 1984 version of the Terminator in the later Terminator films.

We used to play robocop as kids lmaooo. One person would be cain and the rest of us were the thugs that had the last of the 'nuke', and cain would have to hunt us down to get it, kinda like hide and seek. It was a lot of fun. I miss those days lol and robocop is frighin awesome! Dont understand the hate!!

I always liked the line "Peace Officer" and years later it was also in the comic "Frank Miller's RoboCop" which was his original screenplay for the second film before the drastic rewrites For everything Frank isn't, he was solid on that, a stopped clock is right twice a day
