Those pachmayr grips look really nice. I never liked the finger groove grips, these seem functional without ruining the 1911's shape

They are the trijicon HD night sights, the fitment was very tight, I had to machine them down a little.

Well done. I've been considering one of these or the double stack model. This sold me on it. Love the crowned and recessed barrel. Never considered bronze - I wanted something finished in a matte Nickel Boron color (not the actual coating, just the same color) but the Bronze looks equally as appealing.

simply astonishing, im weird but what i like the most on this is the iron sights.

They are definitely deeper, but as long as you have a competent smith install them you'll be fine.

It's nitre bluing and no it does not hold up well. It's mostly for show, but when it does wear it looks really cool. To make it show like it does here the parts have to be fully polished.

Outstanding work bro...very aesthetically pleasing to the eye the way you have chosen which parts to blue to add contrast to the cerekote...makes for a badass package all day long. I have been looking to add a 1911 to my collection and am very seriously considering RIA or PT1911. But the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of starting with RIA and making changes to the piece as you have here...thanks for the inspiration. Also, wondering where you got the ring on your left hand...?

I spray Cerakote professionally. I hand crown with a crowning bit.

No filling was required. They are the Trijicon HD night sights for the 1911 novak cut. I've ordered 3 sets and their all the same. You have a choice of orange or yellow.

I want to replance my RI Tac with other sights but have stayed away as I have been told that the dovetail grooves are much deeper than traditional dovetails so what are your recommentations in that area? Awesome job on that 1911.

They are the only HD night sights that trijicon makes for the 1911 with the novak sight cut.

Did you have to do any filing on the sights to install. I have the RI Tac (pre 2011) and I was told that you can't just install any sights because they have different tolerances than traditional dove tails. Do you have the part number for the sights?

where do you go to get that color of blueing.. I just got a new ria .. I haven't shot it yet but I want to get it blued because I don't like the parkerizeing and I hear the factory finish don't hold up very well.. I like that color blueing it would look sick to do my whole gun that color.. does it hold up well..nice job good lookin piece

I have a RI Tactical Goverment model. Will those Pachmeyr grips you have on there clear the ambi saftey on the ejection port side? Is your saftey a problem with some grips? Or is the clearance different on this model than mine? Normal replacement grips on mine seem to be too high, not allowing the ambi saftey to be set in the full down postion.

Hey do you know if those sights fit in the 1911a1 tactical model too? I just broke mine in and the rear sights came loose and fell off.

There is an oven cure and an air cure. The H series is more durable, and that's what I use. I could spray them for you.
