The Supro 64 has been my main KZfaq amp for a few years now and it handles everthing from Rockabilly to Jazz and Rock, so for something different I thought I'd give it a feature! It's only set to 3 Oclock on the single volume knob the whole time and I go through it with my Telecaster, Gretsch Double Anniversary and Gretsch G400 Archtop (with Flatwounds) with a combination of clean and driven tones.
If you're new to my channel I have hundreds of video lessons and various things so be sure to subsribe, and if you're enjoying my content consider pledging a couple of dollars a month via my patreon, where you will get access to bonus content, namely sheet music and tabs.

Awesome, Adrian! I really dug the country licks you were dishing out. Amazing skills as always!

Here is a suggestion for a 10k special: do a video showing how much work goes into producing a video. Not the video editing but the playing guitar part. In one of your last videos you mentioned how much practice went into a certain lick. It would help people to see how much work is actually behind learning a song or a lick etc. nowadays with the accessibility of KZfaq musicians, people think it is all really easy.

That’s not a bad idea, it would ironically be quite a challenging video to make to as id have to film it over the duration of time / days that I work on some of the harder things and internalise them. Hope you’re well!

That is a great amp. They used to make one with a 15" speaker that was super awesome as well.

Very enjoyable demonstration…I really got to see and hear the variations between the guitars.. While I will ALWAYS have an affinity for the 6118, that Tele under your command does sound the best to me

Thanks Al, I’m thoroughly enjoying the telecaster at the moment. As much as I love my gretsches there’s something simple and earthy about the tele! Hope you’re well mate!

Can you get a decent break up tone at bedroom levels with this?
@AdrianWhyte
@AdrianWhyte 4 ай бұрын
Not really, it has a surprising amount of head room although it does get that warmth and glow as you push it round past 40%. It’s a great little amp, still my favourite!

Those Supro Amps are great they are giving Fender a run for it's money. I've only played the Blues King models (now replaced with the Delta King models with different tolex.) I think your secret sauce is the thumb pick, I've yet too learn to use one. But when you use it it's magical. Looking forward to some Cramps one of my Top 3 favorite bands of all time (up there with the Ramones and Social Distortion.)

Hey Adrian, thanks for this awesome Video. Sometimes less is more :)! 3 small questions: Did u use reverb in the mic‘ed recording? Do you think this amp could take my UAFX woodrow Pedal well :)? And lastly do you think reverb in front of the amp would work for a good Surf Sound :)? Keep up the nice content, sub is smashed :)!
@AdrianWhyte

Hey mate, no reverb in the micd recording and guess what? I have a Woodrow!! Actually I almost find the Woodrow in front of the amp is better than in the interface (you just turn the speaker selection off to remove the cab sim type features) it sounds fantastic to be honest..! And reverb in front, yeah if you get it sorted in your pedal path/signal chain I think it will be great! The way these supros are voiced with a round thick tone makes them really good for pedals I reckon! If you buy one, let supro know you saw my video!

@@AdrianWhyte Wow, what a coincedence :D, it seems like there aren't many players which choosed the woodrow :). So, next step is to sacrifice my pigpocket and buy Supro 64 and let Supro know your doing good ;)! Have an awesome week :)! cya

Here’s to you reaching 20K subscribers very soon! If you haven’t already done it, I’d love to hear the full backstory on your guitar journey, from your first guitar and how you learned to present. I’m not asking much right??? 😂 As for ideas for the channel, I’d love to see some western swing lessons. I think they would fit in nicely with the Rockabilly, Psychobilly, jump blues/jazz, etc. A bit of classic country and punk are up my alley as well. I love all kinds of stuff but these are maybe some of the things I like that may possibly fit in with your channel? Ultimately I like your channel as is, and if you just follow your guitar Muse it’ll continue to be great. It’s tough to figure out how to expand your content and still keep the underlying foundation that has made it great, no easy task. If I think of any more ideas I will send them your way.

You make sound that amp very appealing. Any chance of a video comparison with the Supro Blues King? The Blues King (5watt) is cheaper with more features but I wonder if there is "more" tone from the super 64. Thanks for your videos.

Sorry for the delay.. you’d be spot on mate. The 64 is richer / more depth, I would choose the 64 of the two if you’ve got the cash, but the blues king is sense as well and a fun little amp

Are you happy with the stock speaker? I also have one, and I’m really frustrated with it (hollow, nasal tone, immediate breakup) unless I plug it into a much larger cabinet. The amp itself (minus the cabinet) sounds great. Wondering if a speaker swap will get me into any usable territory…
@AdrianWhyte

Hi Sam, sorry for the delayed response, I took a short break from keeping on top of KZfaq! That’s strange because mine seems to have a fair bit of head room, it’s warm but definitely doesn’t break up easily. Is your speaker torn perhaps?

@@AdrianWhyte Appreciate your reply! The amp sounds great through a 15" Jensen I have, but maybe I'll give an 8" Eminence 820H a try to keep it more portable.
