Bike shock repair , RockShox Fork - Dart2 overhaul turnkey model
Anyone can perform maintenance by watching the video slowly and following along.
However, proper equipment is absolutely necessary,
and use safety glasses and nitrile gloves for safety.

Excellent ! Thanks so much. I'm restoring a Cannondale mountain bike with Dart 2 turnkey forks. I couldn't have serviced the forks without your help. All went smoothly. Found that the damper wouldn't take the full 20ml of 15wt oil but the forks are now as good as new.

this was a bunch of help to see how it comes apart etc. i had been using mine locked out all the time and i hit a dip and heard like a snap and the lock out stopped holding at all. i took it apart on the oil side and found a little steel like nipple threaded on one end and put it back into the top lockout section on its bottom was threaded for the nipple so i screwed it back where it came out of and put fresh oil. after all that it didn't work, the lockout doesn't work at all, i wonder if something else broke, Does anyone know what this is?

Very sad this doesn't fix all the creaking steer tubes that RockShox released. Scram also leaves all the riders hung out to dry who have this issue. This completely explains why the trash can is labeled Scram warranty bin in my shop.

I see that this was a year ago. I have a 06 Cannondale Rush and it has a Rock Shock Recon on it from the same year. I like the bike and the shocks. I want to service my shocks and rebuild the shock. “Friends “ tell me I’m wasting my time. Do you think I’m wasting my time with it? I’m in touch with SRAM and they’re getting me a rebuild kit for it so I’ve already crossed that bridge

Does that make a difference in how good and smooth the suspension compresse and decompress? It would have been nice if you showed the suspension compression before and after the maintenance

락샥 다트2 락아웃이 안되는 문제가 있는데 댐퍼문제인가요? 락레버밑에 씰링 오링이 끊어지고 고정 핀이부서졌는데 그거 때문일까요? 원인을 몰라 서비스킷을 사야하는지 고민입니다. 아니면 오일량이 모자란건가요?

Can u pls help me I just remove all allen and After that I cant dettach the housing I cant pull it hard im not sure what will happen if I pull it hard can somebody answer TIA

As in the video, the bottom allen bolts must be turned out only a few millimeters first, then hammered in. This is necessary to unbreak the cone shaped parts inside and make everything loose, so you can just pull out all components. If you cannot hammer the bolts in, try heating the fork leg around the bolt with a hairdrier or heat gun. Be careful, dont make it too hot, that can discolour or burn the paint, etc, just easy. 10-15 seconds heating around, constantly moving the heat not to point towards the same spot will make you able to hammer the bolts in easily! Plus, when you hammer, you should fix the shoulder with a piece of wood to harden the structure and dont make the moving parts take the force away from the hammered bolt.

안녕하세요. 비교적 저렴한 라인의 자전거일 경우 스프링이 내장된 코일샥을 많이 사용하는데요. 성능은 기대하시기 어렵다고 생각됩니다. 아무래도 샥을 조절할 수가 없고 계수가 일정하게 나오다 보니 몸무게가 많이 안 나가시는 라이더 분의 경우는 뻑뻑하게 느껴지실 수 있습니다.

My compression damper's (at 11:23) lockout function was not working, so I realized that it can be further disassembled. The top end of the grey tube has 2 slots for a 20mm wrench but be very careful because its reverse threaded!
