The Rollerblade Maxxum Edge 125 3WD inline skate looks and sounds awesome but in reality is anything but.
It is a painful hassle to put on and take off the Rollerbalde Maxxum Edge 125 3WD inline skates. These inline skates also fit small and will crush your feet. Make sure you try them on in the store instead of buying them online like I did.
The Rollerblade Maxxum Edge 125 3WD come with 85A hardness wheels that are of course 125mm in diameter. Paired with the wheels are Twincam ILQ-9 Classic Plus bearings (the best part about these skates).
NOTE: I am NOT an affiliate and didn't get JACK SHIT for doing this review. I am just an independent inline skate enthusiast who would like to help as many people as I can get a great deal on rollerblades so they can get outside and be healthier by doing more cardio.
Want to make sure I actually skate the hundreds of km's I say I do? You should! So many people are full of b.s. I gps every skate I do and upload it to Strava. You can find them all here: / strava
Thank you for watching! Thank you even more for liking the video and commenting on it.
Cheers!!

Thanks for your honest reviews! I wish I saw this review two weeks ago before I bought the Maxxum 125. Within 5 minutes of putting them on in the house, I noticed right away that they hurt my ankle, but I pushed through and went out to the streets and now I can't return them. Only my inner left ankle hurts, but it's pretty bad. I can't skate for longer than 30 mins due to this pain. I've tried thicker socks, ankle gel pad, ankle slip on, even stuffing a piece of memory foam over the affected area. It still hurts, so I'm on my last resort--heat molding. I'm just gonna try to pop that sucker out, right where the inner left ankle is.

Thank you for the review. Brief and straightforward. I’ve been on 4X100 forever. I’m recently looking to try 3x110 or even 3X125. Your review about 3X125 is very informative for me. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your honest review as a was thinking of getting the Maxxum 125. What skates would you recommend for long-distance and to spend more than 4hrs on?

Damn I was gonna buy a pair because they are all I can find online right now...might be why. The reviews online the website said they were good...but they did seem a little suspect. Pisses me off when people give things a good review because that's how they make thier money. Thanks for your candid honesty

From my research, they say the Twister/Maxxum boots run a bit small and narrow, so if you are a regular size 12, maybe you simply had the wrong size? Maybe try a size 13 instead? Do you think that would have helped you?

I like the SG9 bearings, I have the 84ABT 90MM and the 100 3wd. I like the Macroblade 90's stiffer boot than the Macroblade 100 3wd soft boot. I want to go to the Maxxum boot in a 90mm or a 100mm since you said the K2 100's aren't good for long distances.

Quick honest helpfull 👍 What do you think about 110s from Rollerblades Macroblade or any other Brand? Less Vibration on rougher Asphalt was the Main Reason i considered 125's. Hmmm totaly unsure what to Pick. Greetings from Austria 👋

I wish I could have seen this before I got mine this year. I set a goal for myself to do 64 miles in one skate because I'm 64 years old. All I had to do it in is an old pair of rollerblade 90mm. Could only get around 40 before the strap hurt my shins. So I got the maximum edge 3w 125mm to do it in. The day they arrived I sprained my ankle by the time I could try them on it was to late to return them. Just as soon as I tried them on I knew I was not going to get far hurt way too much. Got a painful 17 miles. I found padding I could put over my shins so I tried to do it again on my old 90mm I end up doing 76.8 miles. Now I'm looking for something better to do it in something faster and more ment for long distance. Also even though I have been skating for 37 years I have never learned how to stop with out a brake didn't even know you could till I started watching KZfaq in 2018. I have 4 roads to cross that I have to slow down at or stop because my trail is so short it means I have to cross each road 22 times to do 76.8. My wheels would be shot in no time if I had to stop with out one. I was thinking of just selling the boots and putting the frame on something else. I was thinking of the k2 mod myself thought it would be nice to have 4 110 set up to. If you have them or get them could you see if the maximum frame and wheels fits. Was looking at the k2 redline but not sure if you can put a brake on them and they are about twice as much not sure it worth it. I bought powerslide firefly in 2018 could not use them cuffs hurt my ankles. In 2019 they changed the cuffs. In 2022 the maximum edge 3w 125mm is coming out with a different liners no luck with skate. I'm on Strava would like to follow you if thats OK what name should I put in to follow you thanks for the video first time I'm seeing one of your video I'm subscribed now

We have close to the same size (12 wide for me) and the Maxxum XT felt tight in the toe box too, despite it being a size 13.5. I didn't make it 5 minutes though. If it helps, in the past two weeks I also ordered and returned the PS Next 13.5, PS Zoom Pro 12.5, & Twister 13.5. The Twister fit like the Maxxum, but even tighter. Both PS models were very tight in the mid-foot, though the Next had plenty of space elsewhere. I ended up buying the RB Pro X to replace my RB Cruiser and Macroblade 80, the latter of which I bought and enjoyed based on your review of it. On the 13/14 size RB, the 10.3" frame will accept 84mm wheels if you remove a small amount of boot material for clearance with the second wheel. I put the Rollerblade Overdrive 10.6 frame on my old RB cruiser with some 100mm wheels (again, based on your great feedback) on it and have been favoring it over the 84s on the Pro X. Anyway, thanks for the great reviews. Hopefully the info I shared helps in some way if you decide to do another review in a hard boot.

Hahaha! Ya...he is not kidding about how long it takes to get the skate on. Lol. I have the Maxxum XT (4x 90) with the same ratchet system. I try to push the strap in and then ratchet just 3 clicks. The straps are loose and it is a PITA to lace up the skates.

I have the maxxum edge 125’s but I’m guessing they’re built for double pushes, which I’m still learning. I think the skill cap to get the most out of them is higher than most skaters abilities. As a more casual skater, I would’ve been better off with the 90’s. I have twister edge 110’s (my favorite skate) and also powerslide next 125’s. I wouldn’t go over 110 tbh.
