Great stuff! Love to see other skiers on inline skates in the off season!

In the 1980s, I was a ski instructor in the Sierra Nevada and had discovered inline skating. It was a natural transition when I began skating and actually had written Rollerblade (they were the leading inline skate maker at the time) suggesting that they associate skating with skiing as a cross-training exercise. Of course, nothing came of that but I continued skating during the off-season. Skating (along with bike riding) definitely prepared me to hit the slopes and kept my legs and back in shape. One thing that I believe is not stressed enough as skaters train for skiing is weighting the outside ski. To get a deep set in a carved turn as in slalom racing, nearly all your weight needs to be on the outside ski. This is counter to recreational skiing where both skis are weighted equally. To transition to racing or any high speed sharp turns it's important to bend the outside knee much further into the turn. Would love to see that emphasized more in skate cross training.

I've only been skating for 2 years and I have the Macroblade 84abt, 90s and 3x100s. And i agree with you the 90s being the sweet spot, I seem to skate faster on my 90s than my 3x100s. I think that I need to upgrade to the Hydrogen Wheels to.

I am so glad that Rollerblade changed the color scheme for the 2022 version.

Been looking for a more urban-styled skate with smaller, but still big wheels, and this is looking like the perfect option! I currently have the Rollerblade Macroblade 110 3WD, but would like to have a more stable and maneuverable skate to use around the city, jumping curbs and such. Plus, Rollerblade seems to really be great for people like me who have larger feet. All of the foreign skates never get up to the right size for me! Hahaha, these have my size available though!

Do the longer frames on these make quick turns and power stops more difficult? I am looking at the new Maxxum XTs, which seem very similar to these.

I have Twister Edge X 4x80 (2018 model) and i want some 3x110 but thinking of getting these maximums and swapping out the frames for the 3x110 because they have better venting than the twisters. 4x80 is the biggest I've skated so far and I'm not sure I'll even like 3x110 but im mostly skating/cruising and LOVE parallel carving. I mainly want the 3x110 because I keep hearing that it's easier going over rough terrain. Would you suggest i get the Maximums (4x90) or the Twisters (3x110)?

Just one question please - which number you wear (shoes) and which number did you get the maxxum edge 90? Thank you

Question: does this skate have plastic wheels? If not, what type of material is the wheel made off?

Could you put 4x80mm Hydrogen wheels on these for more stability… or would the frame not support that? I’m just getting back into skating after 20yrs

I tested a 110mm x 3 wheel longer frame (290mm) and it felt like skis to me more than an 80 mm x 4 on a (243 mm) frame.

I've heard that these fit a size and a half bigger? Can you please help on the size. Its tough to go to a shop and try on due to the lockdown

besides the wheel sizes, what is the difference from the Maxxum Edges and Twister Edges?

In addition, they strongly compress the ankles, the fastener buckle is in the wrong place ...

hello, Liner nice? No, the tongue is narrower than the others and one of mine the foam inside came split in the arch part, the boots from the top look like a frankkenstein orthopedic shoe. i have never returned a pair of skates, I returned these for being so uncomfortable. Rollerblade should be making better designs and keep producing or improving the old models.

I have a pair and I can say they are very smooth. My only issue is that I have had a lot of foot paint with them. They compress my feet to the point that I can no longer go more than 30minutes on them without pain.
