This is a great overview, and a perfect set up for the conquest of Gaul! I'm excited for pt7! For anyone interested in the Romans' relationship with the Gallic and Germanic peoples, I highly recommend listening to Dan Carlin's "The Celtic Holocaust."

I have yet to listen to TCH, but I’ve listened to Supernova and Blueprint twice now, they’re two of my favorite series. Hopefully when my podcast drops it’ll eventually be as popular as Carlin

as a young classics major I love your videos. Maybe you could do a part on the Easterners (ie Syira, Asia Minor ect) much like the “Barbarians” many of them are strapped with cultural faults as seen though Roman eyes. Cicero as I recall once said that “Asiatic Greeks and Syrians” were born for slavery which, some have used in faulty arguments about “Proto-racism”.

That’s a little outside where I’m comfortable with Roman history, but we can tackle it eventually once I get some other series wrapped up. Working on parts 4 & 5 of the Japanese view of WWII right now
