@@adventuresofahandyman4446 if the "rust" is down at the ground level, it may be irritation rust, if so, use a pump up sprayer with a hot mix (sh/water, 5%) and just keep fan spraying it and it will disappear 100%.

Ray, based on your experiences, would leaving the SH on the roof kill plant life when the rain does rinse it off? Or does the SH degrade in a very short amount of time once it has been exposed to the roof top?

Hey Rob, every job is unique. Very important to perform a pre job briefing and recognize what hazards and potentials there are for property and plant damage. In the video I talked a little bit about one method I use to avoid the issue of killing vegetation. Mist the roof down after the roof mix has been allowed to dwell long enough to kill the algae which removes some of the salt so when it rains, less solution will hit the vegetation at once. I am with you, I don't even try to upsell them anymore unless the customer asks for it. I Spray a hot mix, scrub with a deck brush, rinse with a white tip then spray some Oxilic acid and rinse again.
