I recently found you...so much inspiration! While teaching from home last semester, I decided my Patio needs an update. I will begin with a good pressure wash, some painting (including a Palladium Blue ceiling), furniture (nice chair and ottoman for now), rug and accessories ordered, hanging lights, plants and containers-lots and lots of plants and containers, drip irrigation system. Nice area. I would use it a lot. My husband made me a secret garden with used bricks from our church. Only has room for 2 chairs and a small table. But very private. I also use old logs for tables

Great video! I love all your topiary! Just beautiful all together! I have a triple ball topiary that I love, but the stem between the top and middle balls is bent. Linda, I love the way you've designed your "bistro". It's very serene and inviting. I always liked the idea of pea gravel like you have it there between the bricks and flagstones. Is there a way you keep it from moving? Does it stay in place by itself, or do you mix it with a binder before laying it down?

Do you know what type of redbud tree that is? I have the same problem where half of my river birch has died and I want to replace it with a paperback maple for the exfoliating bark that adds winter interest. I just don't think I can plant a redbud in full sun in my zone, as they're considered understory trees, but yours looks very healthy!
