Best moment for me being an Australian is when Tunisia scored against France which meant Australia had to win against Denmark then like 2 minutes later Matthew Leckie scored for Australia to put us back into the knockout stages.

Agreed mate. Had the two games side by side and could tell early on France weren’t interested. Was gutted when Tunisia scored but the scenes when Leckie put us ahead straight after were unforgettable

Confidence of Ounahi was unreal. So ready to take people on and play, evasive and good with his feet. Could easily see him becoming the star player at say a West Ham or other upper mid level PL team, and bagging a huge move in a couple years to a top team.

Lionel scaloni doesn't get enough credit.. He outplayed Louie van Gaal and Didier deschamps in big games.. He changed the team according to the games. His tactics of 532 against Netherlands, 433 against coratia and starting Di Maria in finals were tough of class and master strokes

Nope no English bias here .... A goal against Iran and an assist against Wales definitely justifies Bellingham's being seen as the "best young player of the tournament".... Why would anyone care that another young player like Enzo Fernandez was instrumental to Argentina making it to the finals of the world Cup. 😂😂😂

agreed. Bellingham is good but his positioning and passing is not that impressive. Enzo Fernandez, Tchouameni, Gavi, Musiala, Vinicius jr etc had all bigger impact in my opinion

@@ventricity you can't be so blatantly truthful( I would put Bellingham over Gavi and Vicinius I believe is ineligible)....they will take it as hate. Bellingham was brilliant against an extremely poor Iran team but had very average performances after that game . The debate for young player of the tournament should be between Enzo and Gvardiol .

Best player has always been a popularity contest, just like balon dor. Modric should be up there. Griezmann should get it (right now as it stands) but, we know how much they want to give it to Messi (like his last one that he was embarrassed to accept because he was nowhere near the best player at the tournament). If he turns up in the final and Argentina win, then Messi would be deserving. But I think they will give it to him no matter what.

@@omnipotence8826 Griezmann beats Messi only by chances created by a small margin.. Goal scoring and Dribbling wise, Messi has been vastly superior to Griezmann.. Also the assists against Croatia and Netherlands and the goal against Mexico are special moments that will be talked about even after this WC ends…Griezmann does not have much of these special moments in this WC..

This is what I’ve always said. Remember Ronaldo had world class players all around (bruno, leao, bernardo silva, ruben dias, joao cancelo) and led them to nothing. Messi has never had a national team that talented but also balanced. Also remember when they faced the “best” midfield at the world cup ? Aka Croatia, and completely DOMINATED them… Messi had Macallister, Enzo, and De Paul looking world class against Modric, Kovacic, and Brozovic… but it’s all done now. The GOAT won everything.

Im an england fan and jude was sensational but objectively how on earth can you pick him over Gvardiol, Ounahi or Enzo. For me quarter finals is underperforming for England (not judes fault) but come on. You have to put your personal bias aside and look at things objectively. I guess ounahi is a year too old but my point still stands

Bellingham is the stand out there, as good as gvardiol and Fernandez have been. Unreal performances from a 19 year old. Dominated every midfield he played against.
