Great Video Trottie! Love how Morikawa appears to always be really interested to learn understand why other players may do certain things in their game. Comes across really humble despite already being one of the best players in the world at the moment. Rory the gent as always

The elbow trick works. I learned that from Leadbetter. I use a mallet too. Putting with more confidence.

Great vid. I switched to a mallet last year (Odyssey EXO Marxman). I had mallets before but they were always heavier and my stroke got shorter/twingier as a result. The EXO suits me because the aluminium does not mean a heavy head ... but the Stroke Lab shaft adds the stability with the weight "on top". Probably not what you want to hear with your association with TM ... But why has TM not gone down the counterbalanced shaft route (yet)? Is it because this tech is proprietary OR can the same results be garnered from, say, a SuperStroke grip with a counterweight. I'd be interested in your opinion on this.

Should've had Dustin Johnson in this vid also who's gaming the TM Spider Tour Black. He and J. Day are the OG'S of the Spider Putter Crew.. I like knowing i love and game the same Spider putter as J. Day, Dustin, Rory, Morikawa and Rahm did last year

I just got a mallet and love it but my speeed is so off now and it feels way different than a blade do I just need to get used to the mallet?

100% you do. These things take time. The mallet will offer more consistency just get out on the green and do your drills

Just use the putter that you feel comfortable with, it’s as simple as that.

@@jordancalanchini3496 that doesn’t mean not trying a new putter, it may be one your normally would turn your nose up at, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t comfortable. Being comfortable is having confidence in your putting I guess.

RORY! Stick with the Spider X! You know it's the best mallet on the market which is why so many tour Pros use it. And its a totally original TaylorMade design that many manufacturers have copied! The spider pretty much swings itself it's so well-balanced meaning the ball is going to go where you aim it, like Rory said.. I think it's Rory's iron swing that's holding him back right now. Stick with the Spider X and the putts Will eventually Start falling again. That's my 2 cents that Rory will never ever see 😂

RORY! Man Stick with the Spider X! You know it's the best mallet on the market which is why so many tour Pros use it. And its a totally original TaylorMade design that many manufacturers took notice of and have copied! The spider pretty much swings itself it's so well-balanced Meaning the ball is going to go where you aim it, where you want it to go, like Rory said.. I think it's Rory's iron swing that's holding him back right now. He got too greedy focusing too much on chasing Driver distance.. Stick with the Spider X, the putts will eventually start falling again my friend! That's my 2 cents that Rory will never ever see 😂😂

Call it a rainbow unicorn if you want.... the spider putter that's been in my bag as well as the bag of *Multiple* major Champions over the past few years is the best putter I've ever used. Totally changed my confidence on the Green. I gave my best friend my old Scotty Cameron Newport. Haven't missed it one bit. I hope they do Market the hell out of the spider. they've got a damn good putter

listen to rory talk at 1:40 to 2;26 i know he is talking about putters in this clip. if do you take this out of context and think about LIV golf, it seems kinda funny that he has such a strong opinion on people who found an easier way to make money playing golf. just like people find ways to feel comfortable to make putts on the green.
