I am SO glad I was able to watch these when all of this great comedy was happening. I could just see Gilda doing all of those Roseann Rosannadana physical comedy she did as she did her "news reports". ❤

This era was when SNL was creative, inventive, current and hysterical. Except for a few memorable performances since, SNL should have been thrown on the scrapheap years ago.

Still getting mileage out of "looked like Woodstock" and "birds in your mouth" after all these decades. I've got an old cassette in a drawer with this one from back when it aired.

The funniest one was the skit about UFOs and RD seeing a "rectal eclipse" driving down past an outdoor drive-in. Hilarious. SNL never showed THAT one again. I had tears in my eyes.

I don't get most modern humor at all. But Gilda Radner and company at SNL are still just as funny to me as they were back in the latter half of the 70's. What a shame Gilda left us too soon.

I knew a person who ate spinach and it got lodged in the back of the teeth. He freaked out and thought it was a decaying tooth. So he went to a dentist and it just goes to show you …. If you don’t go to the dentist your teeth will fall out. Would be a good skit for the super Roseanne

It’s just something about the way she delivers her lines, and the catchphrases - the taglines. “What are you trying to do, make me sick,” “I thought I was gonna die,” “it’s always something.”
