Late comment but just saw this case. I have NEVER been so angry as when the father of Joseph said, “this could all have been avoided if the family hadn’t been using drugs and alcohol.” No, it could all have been avoided if your son had stood up like a man, and protected two small and innocent children who were being brutalized by the brute he was married to.

I completely agree.. I was on the verge of tears listening to the impact statements from Laila and Millie's family.... but when Tessa spoke I couldn't hold them back anymore. I can't imagine the weight of the guilt she carries with her each day... I was on heroin, and while I went to treatment this could so easily have been my girls. Tessa, if you ever see this - You were doing the right thing to go get help. You loved your children enough to admit they would be safer and better off with someone else while you got that help, and that is no easy thing. Only a mother who truly loves her kids with her whole heart would be brave enough to admit that, and have the strength to put their kids needs first even though it's a heartbreaking decision. I know none of that will ever be enough to alleviate the burden you carry on your heart.. but I truly believe it is YOU, your love, your strength, your bravery, and your heart, that ultimately will be the very thing that can allow Millie to heal and come through this even stronger.....like her Mama. 💕

Had she put her babies first they would have been with her and not the Rosenbaum's. She's most certainly not a great mum. Stop with acting like addictions aren't choices. Some people put on the perfect front and have nothing but blackness in their hearts. Look at Chris Watts! He fooled people for years and annihilated his entire family. DEFCS is overloaded, understaffed and underfunded. We have to stop blaming Social workers. They are not psychic. They should do better but I believe that most of them care but have unmanageable workloads. These babies were failed by many, including close and extended family. I would never allow my grandchildren or great grandchildren to go to strangers. I would sacrifice everything, my job, my pay, my house. Bio mom knew she needed help herself. I cannot blame her and in fact am proud of her. However, somebody should've stepped in and helped her and the girls out. Family comes first, no matter what! I don't mean to hurt anyone or point fingers. Just my thoughts.But the only one truly at fault is the evil thing that beat a 2 year old so hard that her pancreas split in two. I had pancreatic inflammation once and is was beyond painful. This baby must have suffered terribly. Who does that???😭😭😭😭

@@burly636 no what happened was that Jennifer wanted to foster kids and had heard that Tessa’s kids needed a home. So to fast track the fostering process, Jennifer reached out to Tessa- the bio mom, to get her to agree to Jennifer getting the girls. So Jennifer and Joseph were still going through the fostering application process whilst already having the girls bc Tessa had agreed. It’s like letting your friend take care of your kids for a bit - nothing formal needs to be done. But DFCS was still somewhat involved bc the girls were in their system. Jennifer had lied to DFCS about being friends with Tessa but Tessa still agreed for the girls to go there bc she thought that Jennifer would let her see the girls. At that point Tessa was still trying to get them back. She’s since signed away her rights to Millie. She did what she believed was best for the girls, she thought they would be safer with the Rosenbaums instead of with her bc of her drug habit. Turns out they would’ve probably both been alive right now if she had kept them or DFCS had let them stay with the Brown’s.

I found myself yelling at my TV when the father placed blame on the little girls family. How dare he. All the defendant's family that said something so they could try and persuade the judge to have mercy on them, where was the mercy for poor little Laila while she bled out inside and slowly die and to her sister Miller, that beautiful child will live every day remembering what her little sister went through at the hands of monsters. Trying to paint these 2 monsters as pillars in their community actually made me sick!

Judge looks truly effected by this case & I'm glad he pointed admonished that father & other relation!
@kimberlyvinson83865 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree, burgh strong. During the trial the judge must keep composure and not show any type of emotion but he is also human and I could see several times just by the looks on his face and also the looks he would give the defendants at times, he was affected deeply by the case and was appalled by the defendants and their charges. For him to say it was basically one of the worst cases he has seen says a lot given the fact that he is an older gentleman so he has likely been a judge for many, many years and heard many cases. At the end of the day he can't just go home and forget about what transpired in the courtroom...he lives with the cases and the judgments he passes down. It can't be an easy thing to do no matter what the case is. So, as it is so obvious this case affected the judge so much, I will think of the judge and hope that HE can also find a way to recover from the facts brought before him in this case. I don't know if he is a Christian man or now, but I am a Christian woman and will remember him in my prayers.

These Rosenbalms think they are untouchable & the mean hearted stuff they still put this poor family thru & I’m sure they tried to intimidate the witnesses & all the family of the victims. Please seek all the help you can access, to where you can rid yourself of drugs and live a free life, where you can enjoy your girls when they are older, plus grandchildren etc. I have full faith that you can do this. I am so sorry that these monsters hurt your girls, but you cannot change what has happened, however you can control what happens in the future. I wish you all the best. None of us are perfect and at times we do fall down. It is the getting back up and taking control of our lives, that is the most important part. Laila would want you to be the best you can be for her sisters, I'm sure. I wish you nothing but the best, also to your family❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ from Western Australia!

GMarie -Behind The Mask- I felt that way. I think they were the type to see them as “things” and not grandchildren.
