Could have been …. but the studio lights are very hot & she had a long sleeve suit on which looked like most like a non-breathable material. These two things would make anyone sweat if you’re prone to it. I’ll give Whitney the benefit of doubt here, because we really don’t know.
@brandindash18639 ай бұрын
Being a Whitney fan and being very familiar with her behaviors and also knowing her story. She likely wasn't high. She has always been a very energetic and expressive person. As far as the sweating some people sweat a lot and she has always sweat a lot. Not saying the drug usage didn't exasperate the issue. Although it's possible she did a line or two lol cuz studios are usually pretty cold and she is sweating a lot.
@erikm83729 ай бұрын
I have some things to say on this comments… a comment which was a pointless observation, frankly, regardless of whether or not you’re a recovering addict. I would honestly expect more from someone who’s admitting on KZfaq they’re a recovering addict. Are you having fun with Whitney or bashing her? I mean, shit, Rosie was pretty hyper and animated all the time. Every guest. What if she was stoned? Acting silly? Drinking a bit? Nobody ever said that… who knows, there are even “overweight” tweakers in this world, and Rosie does act a little hyper sometimes…girl! She hanging with Tina back then? What?! Never know! I’m just kidding by the way. 🤣 But for real… why cant we just enjoy the show? Have fun with the interview! Whitney, as we know, was highly intolerant of stupid, boring or gossipy interviewers. Rosie is the total opposite. All of her guests have fun with her. And since the sweating is so vitally important for all of you, the studio is probably hot under the lights…explains the sweating. I’m a musician. I sing and play violin, fiddle, flute, and more. I sweat profusely under the lights. And maybe I’m high too, bc I smoke the reefer, but that’s secondary! Lol! Many musicians get high because it helps music. There’s something to be said for that, ya know… music itself will get one high, but adding certain substances to that helps some. I don’t even know that Whitney was negatively affected by her partying… the media sure made it that way. Unless we are a person, we can’t claim to know their details. Okay, sure, in 2001-02, Whitney lost some weight, but it DID get gained right back, and what did everyone say… “Whitney blew up!” Y’all kill me, she was never fat, like she told Diane Sawyer. “Whitney will never be fat. I’m a skinny girl.” Really, the camaraderie between Rosie and Whitney, plus the music, is what it’s about here. I would expect someone saying that they’re a “recovering addict” to maybe be more understanding or respectful and not point stuff like that out. The comment sounded both insulting and praising at rthe same time. Quite strange. And to be honest, this isn’t even her “highest” moment, are you kidding me? Rosie is a fun talk show host. Whitney loves to have fun and not discuss her marriage, her off camera lifestyle, etc. And again, on the topic of perspiration, people sweat. Newsflash!! Even confident singers who perform might get nervous, and sweat. Who cares. Unpopular opinion, well, I love when Whitney was high. She’s hilarious. And yes, I smoke weed and dabble in other extracurricular fun things. So I maybe can appreciate all that side of her… I love Whitney no matter what, off stage, on stage-why does everyone point-out when she was supposedly “high”, yet any other performer who LIKELY is on something or drunk never gets called out? 80% of Hollywood is on something. Including meth, Adderal, PCP, LSD, and all kinds of truly unexpected stuff. Old fucking news. Bye.

I love the subtle communication between the ladies. Whitney really encouraged Faith and Kelly here. When Kelly started riffing after singing her verse, Whitney used her own facial expression to signal to Kelly to keep going. We can see the muscles in Kelly's forehead relax as she received that message from Whitney. And toward the close of the song, as Whitney and Kelly were riffing off each other, Whitney subtly moved closer to Faith and leaned into Faith to signal her to get into it. We can see (and hear) Faith start to riff too. Really subtle, but very savvy cues from Whitney. She was definitely a pro.

Just saw Kelly speak about these rehearsals; an Arista staff member rudely told Kelly to dial it down and Whitney kicked the staff member off the set after scolding them for disrespecting Kelly.
