The last gift I gave my mom was a pair of earrings that also is the first gift I bought her with my own money, from my first actual job, it wasn't anything too fancy and I was actually a bit scared she wouldn't like it but she said she loves it so much, she uses it almost every single day to go to work 🥰

The very best gifts really are the ones with the most meaning of all. A gift like that is from the heart, and is always far more important than the dollar amount tied to it. I'm sure your mom will always cherish your gift.

These are excellent tips, every last one of them. On the one hand, they are VERY beginner oriented, as in, they're mistakes that only absolute beginners should be making. But at the same time, they seem to be quite common, even in intermediate artists, so I hope that everyone watching takes these steps to heart. Every one of them will basically make your work that much better and more professional instantly if you continue to apply them. Heck, I've been a professional artist for over 20 years, and I even still catch myself trying to draw every hair on occasion, despite knowing better. They are easy to forget sometimes, but in practice, the more you do them the easier it becomes. :)

The interactions between you and your mom are so wholesome. I really enjoyed all of these videos. My mom isn't home often, but we have occasional tea times and take walks together. Her birthday was yesterday and we had some cookie cake. Last time, I baked desserts for her as a gift.

The last official gift I got my mom was actually one of my completed sketchbooks, which she requested, she has always been a huge supporter in my art interest and was the person to introduce me to it I'm so glad to have such an awesome mom and I would not trade her for the world. Also everyone GO SHOW YOUR MOM SOME LOVE!

Happy Birthday 🎉 I've never drawn my mum but the last thing I gave her was a necklace I made of polymer clay. She liked to sew so it had a thread bobbin, scissors, a pin cushion, and a button charm in her favorite colors.

It always excites me whenever I see your mom, Ross. She reminds me of my mom who's very supportive and funny. Happy Birthday, Mrs. Trans! Hope you enjoy your day and more birthdays to come!🥳 I think the last gift I gave to my mom was a birthday letter and she loved it. Actually, whenever I go to my mom's closet, I can still see that letter and idk, it always makes me smile to see how much my mom treasures even the smallest gift she received from anyone, especially our gift. ily mom❤️

My mom had always wanted to go to Europe, so my brother and I took her there to celebrate her 70th birthday! (Except that it was a few years delayed because of the pandemic...) Ross, that was such an awesome gift for your mom. I hope she has a happy birthday! ❤️

The last gift I gave to my mom was a small trip to the mountains! She loves to go hiking and exploring nature so she really enjoyed it! We also did a movie night at home after our tip to recharge from all the exploring haha! It was really fun 😄✨

I used a threat to do it and it was a very emotional moment since my father passed away 5 years ago. She keeps it next to her bed and I really appreciate that

The last gift i gave away to my mom was a beautiful garden, she loved to paint plants and always had a fascination with nature. Recently she got emitted to a hospital and couldnt go out much, she felt stuffy and didnt have motivation to do really anything. I thought hard what I could do to make the best happen for her, she is such a great mother. So once she got released from the hospital i planned on showing her the garden i made in her backyard. Coming from a typical lazy person, it was surprisingly difficult to not only build and construct a easy access garden, but to maintain it while she got better lol. I love my mom so much all I want for her is to see her enjoy her time with nature and being able see her being happy again.

What a great portrait of your mom. My mom died 30 years ago and I can't remember the last gift. I hope it was something that made her smile. Thanks for the tips, especially about the hair. I'm always struggling with hair (and uch the rest of the portrait haha) 👍

Loved this video. Good to see that I was already doing the correct things. To answer your question. The last gift I got for my mom was a HEPA filter. She was having asthma attacks everyday even while sleeping. I think it was the best gift for her.

the last gift i gave to my mom was a banner for her online antique store. she had made one for herself and seemed really excited about it, but i saw it and could see that she just kinda pasted a bunch of stuff on there, so i made one for her with different textures and backgrounds that looked better together :)

Thanks for sharing your portrait painting tips! Very helpful! The last gift I made for my mom was a horizontal spinning metal yard art sculpture with stainless steel bird shapes and shiny bits that sparkle in the sun as it turns.

The last gift I gave my mom: I have two lanterns with candles in it and she was in love with it, but didn't want to take mine, so the next day I went and bought her the same set. :) + I bought her favorite plant as well, just to give her something extra and because I love to make her happy.

the last gift i gave my mom was a pan that she kept telling us, she always thought that it was a very nice cooking pan but she didnt have the time to buy it so at christmas last year my sister and i chipped in some money to buy the pan and surprised it to her. Happy birthday ross' mom And the last gift I give to my mom was something I made, a sort of little pillow with lavender inside (her favorite), I sewed it and wrapped it in a custom paper I also made . She was soooo happy.

I don't have a mum so instead, the last gift I gave to my dad was a cookbook with his favorite cookie recipe in it. He used to make the cookies for us in summer school holidays but lost the book when we moved. I tracked down another copy and gave it to him while he was visiting for my wedding just last month! Also, a Happy Birthday to Ross' Mom! Your nose is perfect the way it is!

Last gift I gave my mom was a dolphin keyring, before she died of cancer, 12 years ago. I took it from the bedside table that day and it's still hanging from my car's visor. I don't think I'll ever sell the car, or remove that dolphin. Lovely tutorial. I love that you two are doing this together.

The last gift I had given my mom was a charm for her bracelet (context: when I was around five years old my mom had gifted me matching bracelets where we can put various charms on it and ever since that day I always got her a charm that signified an event that has occurred in her life. The charm I got her last year was a baby bottle because she helped out my brother when times were tough for my niece. It made me appreciate my mom for going out of her way to take care of her and as her first grandchild, love always comes in bundles of joy 💖
