Thanks for the videos so far, really useful. About to start upscaling from a freelancer to a company. Would love a video on (the thing we don't talk about) financing/money. What tools you use to manage the money when starting out to try and separate personal finance from company finance (It's boring just writing this! Sure you'll have an interesting take on it)

Hey Ross and anyone reading this, are you interested to have a logo for your channel that's simple, clever, and functional which represent your contents to new audience and also memorable for everyone about your channel? I'm a freelance logo designer and I hope I have the honour to make use of my creativity to design one for you! Let me know if you interested for further details like my concept, rate and portfolio!

Hey Ross, love your content mate. I’ve got a question on social pages for production companies. Personally I’d love to just change my existing profile over to my new production company profile name to leverage off the content I’ve been producing and the audience I’ve built. However, this is an unprofessional move, given not all of my content is production quality content, and some of it is simply vlogs and tutorials. I’ve noticed that you have a Perspective Studios page that mostly hosts your website banner content and short promos. This is the route I have taken but I’m questioning my decision given that an empty page without an audience doesn’t scream prestige. It seems I’m stuck at a cross roads where both option 1 (Change my current profile name) and option 2 (start a fresh underloved account) both lack prestige for a different reason. If you could start this again - how would you tackle this? And is there anything you’ve done here you wish you did differently? Thank you mate for your insights!

I'm in the same boat so I would love to hear Ross' perspective.
@RossWelch
@RossWelch 2 жыл бұрын
Hey!! Firstly Thanks for all the support 🙏🏼 So, what you could do is change your current page to a business one and then go through and archive any content that does not represent the brand eg. Your vlogs or un professional content. That way you keep the engaged audience but to businesses it looks like a cool and creative page 😊🔥 I hope that helps!

Hi Ross, thank you so much for these videos they are so helpful! wanted to get your point of view on the following... I'm currently building the website and Instagram for my company, my the idea is to have the profiles of freelancers, from filmmakers to scriptwriters, voiceovers, etc to give the sense that all the talent is in-house and not outsourced. In general, do you think this is a good idea?

Hey Ross, I am wondering what you use as a contract for retainers? I am going to be signing up some clients for retainer packages but that means I need a contract for it. Do you have any recommendations to get a contract started?

Hey dude, we do give away the contracts in the Perspective Academy but that's for paid members 😬😁 I did a video to try and help people so maybe take a look at this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f5-fq9OYsJrcmJs.html

What are your thoughts on value based pricing?
@RossWelch
@RossWelch 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael, In short I think it closes too many doors. Sure it'll work well for some people and to be completely honest I haven't used it in our business but from experience, low and high ticket businesses just want to know the price and they want you to get to the point. I'm always open to learning and testing things but cost based seems simple. How much for a video? £2k.. OK cool (or if not) OK what's the budget, where can we make a saving. You also have a fair basis so that when you get a referral (which we get lots of) the expectations are already taken care of. Its not a case of "I want a video, how much?" ... well how much do you value video 😂. Just my opinion and again I'm not super uptodate with the strategy 🙏🏼

Hey! No matter how old or young you are, the same principles still apply 😊. The fact that you're wanting to start a business at this age is awesome 👌 Why not use birthdays, Christmases or a part time job to raise the money for camera gear that you cam then use to start your career 😁🤘
